Location perfect for my need to access the town centre

The most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept ( or rather couldnt) on. Really difficult to see the car park entrance in the dark. All a bit grim , grey and uncared gor.

The room is clean but extremely cramped definitely not worth £80 a night

It was clean

On entering the room we were extremely surprised by the size. It was a very cramped space which almost resembled a corridor for two large men there was hardly any space and for £80 a night we feel it was extremely bad value. The view out of the window was also terrible.

Door to bathroom hanging off with sawdust on floor. Bedroom just big enough for bed, Kettle supplied in room but unable to put under tap for water, so no coffee. We did not have breakfast due to hospital appointment. Car parking extremely tight Our rating 2 / 10

County Hotel Haverfordwest - to be avoided.

Good location for the town centre, castle & river.

- The bathroom smelled of sewage with the stench coming out of the drain in the shower - When I turned the shower on a huge fountain of water sprayed from the pipe under the shower head over the cubicle & onto the floor. I had to shower with the shower head facing the wall to stop a flood - I had to decide whether I wanted the curtain gap in the middle of the window or at both sides as the curtains weren't wide enough to fit the window size. - I came back from work & found that my room door had been left wide open all day by the cleaners. When I complained to the staff at reception they said they would post in the staff WhatsApp group. The next day the same thing happened to my colleague. Fortunately nothing was stolen but I feel that this negligence is unacceptable - when having breakfast my colleague dropped her spoon. The cook said that she drops the utensils on the kitchen floor all the time. - The cook went straight from emptying the hoover bag into the kitchen.

Great value for money! Lovely staff and an easy breakfast

The shower was in the room instead of a separate room and the walls could have done with a lick of paint.

It’ll do for a night if you’re budgeting?

It’s a very economical room, it was clean. New bathroom, though temperamental shower.

Room overlooking a very busy road and over a pub, the music made the room vibrate until past 22:00 but then again, it is a pub so that’s to be expected. Other than that: run down room, paint coming off the walls and terrible spring mattress that was very uncomfortable. Parking is charged at £5 which is rather just be included in the room.

The shower leaked, we had to ask for clean towels, it was very noisy being so close to the road and there was alot of wear & tear in the room that hadn’t been looked at i.e. holes in walls, stains on the ceiling from a leak.

Excellent location; central town location so was able to make appointments and reach shops etc all under a 5 minute walk. Room laid out excellently and crisp and clean. Due to time constraints didn't try the breakfast but others have said elsewhere it is really good.

Basically, you get what you pay for for! If not new beds a thick mattress topper would help.

Could do better

Centrally located and easy to find an evening meal and other town centre amenities during our stay. Easy access off the A40 coast road (but not simple to access the car-park unless you know the road layout)

Room was small - basically a single with a double bed. Only one person had access to a bedside table and lamp. Bathroom was tiny and basic and the shower wouldn't turn off and leaked into the bar below! Breakfast was charged extra (we expected £6.50 but were charged £9 each) and it was barely satisfactory - quite disappointing. Location is on a major roundabout and the traffic noise was loud with window open (room v warm and stuffy when window closed - no fan or A/C)

Should have gone elsewhere

We arrived safe

Sun June 29th. We had breakfast at 09.15 Cost £9.50pp Dinning room was dark and dismal. Poorly lit not very welcoming. Self service. Food choices provided English breakfast items Croissants , Cereal , 2 caramel Yoghurts, oranges and an apple. Pat asked for some hot milk, told not possible. No peppermint tea available. I asked if we could have a non-slip mat for the shower and was informed that one could not be provided as none were available.e were put i9n room 103. This rook is about 6ft 6 inch wide, 13ft long with a very small window. Poorly lit with 1 wall light and a ceiling light. Bathroom at one end ws just big enough for a sink, shower enclosure and toilet. Toilet was framed in at the side of the shower enclosure and my shoulders touched the enclosure and wall when I sat on it. Mon June 30th Woken by the noise emanating from major construction work adjacent to the hotel of which we had no prior information. There was no room service, cleaning or bed making provided although staff changed 2 towels on request . So far we could have gone B&B or self catering and had better service. Tues July1st woken 0700 by construction noise. No change from Mon, Wed July 2nd woken to construction noise 0650. No room service apart from towels. Thurs July 3rd Woken by construction noises 0710. etc:

The breakfast was very good. The room and bathroom were clean. The bed was not comfortable and, as the room was small, it was uncomfortably warm at night. Central location, easy access to town.

Good location, rooms could be refurbished to a better standard

Good location, nice local pub downstairs with friendly staff.

Double bed was quite small, shower cubicle had black sealant showing. Mold/damp patches above the shower and wall. Needs to be refurbished, table was too long for the room and needs to be moved from the bathroom entrance. Room quite small, buffet breakfast not worth the £10 charge.

Our room was dated but the bed was comfy.

When returning at 8pm after eating out the bar had closed early and there was no staff to speak to at all, the front door was not secured so was unsafe. This was disappointing, when we reported this in the morning staff were not interested. There was shouting in the room next door to us but no staff around so we had very little sleep.

Avoid at all costs! More like an uncomfortable prison than a hotel!

Good location

Website promises a Boutique hotel where staff are concerned with their guest's enjoyment and where they offer a choice of 'signature' pillows and 'everything you could need... I asked for a firm pillow and was told there weren't any. We paid for 7 nights but only stayed for 6. We asked twice to change room but were told we couldn;t as the 18 room hotel was fully booked ( it was not) There was only 1 bedside table in our tiny double room. Staff were unhelpful and definitely didn't care if you enjoyed your stay. Parking was an extra £5 per night. Breakfast was £8.50 per person per day. The whole place is horrible.
