The only knock on this place was the elevator. It was very small 4 people only. But this is very normal in all Europe

I really enjoyed the proximity of the hotel to the Gothic Quarter, to Rambla Catalunya and surrounding areas. The staff was mostly very pleasant and accommodating. I received an early check in, which was super helpful. The room did not have its own temperature control, but the reception was very accommodating and would turn on the air conditioning when requested. I enjoyed the roof top terrace, even though it was quite small. The room was clean and well kept and serviced daily and whenever my tea and coffee finished, I would call for more and it was immediately replaced. They were very kind and provided us a bottle of champagne to celebrate my sister's birthday and some cake! Ice was given, when requested, so no issues with housekeeping and accommodation of requests.

i was not satisfied with the overall look and feel of the hotel. I felt the rating of four star would lend to greater luxury and that was not there. Perhaps some remodelling to ramp up the interior and the entrance and the rooms would go a long way, given the well placed location. The elevators were very slow and my room was on the fourth floor. I have no comments about the food as I never ate the breakfast or at the restaurant. While I have no complaints about the staff or cleanliness, I would advise that if you are looking for a more luxurious stay, this hotel needs more in that case. Also, I am not convinced from all my research that the price/value was adequate.
