We had a lovely weekend, lovely hotel overall but our room was a bit below par.

Loved the old style of the hotel. Breakfast also lovely. Staff great, very friendly.

Room 352 smell coming from the drain and the toilet flush doesn’t work properly. It is ok if left for ages to refill the tank but otherwise fills very slowly. Could do with upgrading to smart TVs. TV basic and kept cutting out. There were 3 of us and this was not accounted for in towel numbers

All good, lovely hotel, clean, great breakfast, attentive staff.

All good, lovely looking hotel inside and out, elevated position about 10 mins walk to the centre but through a quiet'ish slightly run-down area but felt safe enough. Breakfast lovely and very attentive staff.

Our room fire? alarm went off at like 5 in the morning waking us up, went on for a couple of mins then all quiet! Odd!

Stayed here several times and would recommend hotel as position reasonable distance from city centre

Staff helpful,room clean .Breakfast good choices and restaurant staff very good.

Air conditioning took long while to warm room. Bed a little on firm side ,quilt only light weight so had difficulty keeping warm.Realise it’s an old building but secondary glazing would have helped warmth and perhaps cut out some road noise

Nice location, clean and friendly staff

We use hotels in Sheffield to visit family who live in the area, the crown plaza is close to the city centre and the people we visit so is ideal for the purpose.

Having to pay for car park as a guest but this seems to be normal in the location.

dont stay there !!!the beds are like a park bench & lift wasnt working

TERRIBLE BEDS, LIFT NOT WORKING & NO OFFER OF HELP WITH LUGGAGE(80 year old with us thats why we needed a lift), kettle was unsafe & wouldnt turn off. VERY disappointed with visit , have emailed & spoken to "someone" on the phone ....they were not interested in the slightest, have stayed in a few crowne plaza hotels & have never had a problem, Sheffield was not a good experience apart from the breakfast

I didn’t stay in I went out

Locational educations, it’s good there is a car park at the hotel - which many don’t seem to have, this is a plus power but having to pay for parking when you are a guest at hotels I don’t agree with that - even more so if you have a disabled parking badge. Disabled parking should be free for everyone everywhere every daylight saving time and place

The decoration was far too neutralised…..meanwhile………

Friendly staff. We stayed for a concert at the Utilita Arena - great options for transport either by taxi or tram stop a short walk away. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good quality.

Enjoyed our stay immensely and all staff were very pleasant and helpful. Excellent breakfast with a vast choice of food.

Rooms could do with a bit of modernization but this is a minor issue for us and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when visiting family friends in Sheffield.

Location if you are on foot is not brilliant at night - not unsafe as such, just a bit quiet and run down in places. Arriving by car is no problem.

Excellent family staff for uni open day

Room was super- 2 Queen sized beds and sofa area. Recently refurbished bathroom and room decor- stylish and modern. Good tea and coffee facilities. Robes and slippers. Impressive entrance and staircases. Staff friendly and welcoming. Superb breakfast- lots of choice, fresh and plentiful.

Disappointing.

The christmas decorations were nice

Water dripping from our ceiling.. disgusting smell of must/mold. And we couldn’t even open our window bc of the construction. We got bad luck and came during an event full of extremely drunk men. It was obnoxious. Took us 15 mins to even check in. It’s really unfortunate that such a beautiful old building has to ruin the beauty with the most lifeless color of grey. It’s very depressing.

Great stay in Sheffield

Great stay in central sheffield with comfortable large room for our family of four and with half board had a real nice 3 course gourmet dinner included for all of us with good kids options. Breakfast was a hearty buffet breakfast. The hotel had ample parking when we stayed with convenient easy to use electric chargers that was worth while parked there overnight. Staff were friendly, kind and extremeky helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will book again next time we are in the area!

It was ok. Don’t think will stay again

The location was brilliant for city centre. Nice breakfast. Room was clean and bed comfy

Disappointed to have to pay an extra 50.00 deposit. Not really sure what that is for. Now have to wait for this to paid back. We were not told about this until arrival. The room was quite noisy from air conditioning unit and traffic. The deposit would put me off booking this chain of hotels again

The hotel is only 10 minutes walk from city centre, so no transport was needed

The staff was amazing, all of them in restaurant, bar, or on reception were so helpful and accommodating. Nothing was to much bother, no matter what you asked. As a big party if 27 adults and children they put tables together in the restaurant, on the evening we arrived so we could all be together.
