Best stay at Lofoten

The best stay we had at Lofoten, the view outside is just remarkable. Location is a little far from town, but we got to enjoy the peace and silence. Cabin has everything we needed for cooking and laundry, and the whole cabin is well heated for winter stay. I will definitely visit again!

The place where you would like to stay

The view is magical (quiet, great view), the house is perfect and the arrival / departure really easy. We had the chance to see Northern Lights while seated in the sofa !

It was a great stay!

View from the house was magnificent. The location was wonderful and offered hiking possibilities close by. Hiking and other suggestions were offered by the books and maps available in the house. We generally prepared our meals ourselves and the house was very well equipped for that. The house has 3 comfortable bedrooms and one bathroom . The location has several very good restaurants and we recommend Haim.

One of the best stays we've had in 24 years of world travel

I can not say enough good things about this property. The location was very quiet and felt remote but it is only 5 minutes to the restaurants of Ballstad and 15 min from Leknes. The property was beautifully decorated throughout- spacious dining table and chairs downstairs and leather lounge chairs and sofa upstairs. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook several meals (we had our own spices) and the refrigerator was large. The rorbuer can sleep 7 but doesn't feel too big for 2 people. The beds were very comfortable and we had access to extra comforters and pillows. The bathroom was spacious and there was a combo washer/dryer which was a bonus. Did I mention the views? OMG, we did not want to leave this place every day. You are on a small bay leading out to the ocean with incredible mountains in front of you. In our 4 days, we saw glassy reflections, storms roll in, rainbows, and beautiful sunsets. There is also a mountain you can hike right out your door that has beautiful views of the rorbuers and Ballstad. Also, the rorbuers feel private though they are located right next to each other. They are positioned in a way that you really can not see into your neighbor's cabin unless you are trying to! I can not say enough good things about this property, a true gem.

The only thing I can think of would be a fan for the summer. You must close the blinds upstairs on sunny days because it becomes very hot upstairs and even with the windows open, there is very little ventilation. But that is the ONLY thing I can think of, this place was close to perfect!

Die Unterkunft hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Ein sehr gemütliches Haus am Wasser, sehr gut ausgestattet. Im Winter Dank Fußbodenheizung und Ofen sehr warm. Gute Ausgangslage um die Lofoten zu erkunden. Die Kommunikation mit Bente war super einfach und herzlich

Utrulig fin og moderne rorbu. Nydelig maritimt interiør. Eigaren var enkel å komme i kontakt med gjennom meldingsfunksjonen på Booking.com. Vi fikk god informasjon i forkant og underveis. Dette er absolutt noko som kan anbefalast 😃

Eravamo in coppia ma è adatto sicuramente a famiglie. Pulitissimo, attrezzata la cucina e il bagno. Vista piano terra e piano superiore mozzafiato. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di vedere l'aurora boreale direttamente dal soggiorno e dalla veranda, raggiungibile facilmente con porta a vetrata scorrevole dal soggiorno. Posizione top. Parcheggio comodo e gratuito. Superconsigliata.
