A) Room - Absolutely loved our room which is spacious and well-equipped. It was a refurbished old fishing cabin with tasteful decorations and restful vibes. B) Breakfast - Excellent breakfast served by super attentive staff. Wonderful food quality C) Activities - We had the pleasure of having Nicol take us on our Aurora tour as well as our sightseeing trip. She is so knowledgeable and shared so much with us about the local cultures and traditions that made us appreciate Lofoten and its people even more! She knew where to bring us despite the wet weather conditions and her expert knowledge really made so much difference in our enjoyment and appreciation of the place. A HUGE shout-out to her! D) Staff - Anna at the front desk was also so helpful and hospitable. Made us feel so welcomed and ensured we were well taken care of!

Great location for relaxing

Perfect Location, spacious room with nice fisherman decoration. The kitchen was fully equipped in case you needed to cook or prepare anything. Our room faced the water, and it was so nice. They provide Sona as well (we didn't use it, so no comment)

Breakfast is good but overrated. Even dinner was very ordinary, despite being said to be very special. There is a grocery store nearby that I would recommend for buying your food.

A lovely hotel with charming rooms and great service

The staff were all really friendly, efficient and lovely. They really enhanced our stay. Our 2-bedroom cabin was charming, although a comfy sofa would have been nice. As with all these traditional cabins, the bedrooms were tiny. The food and service at Fangst restaurant were exceptional.

The initial view isn’t what I was expecting after stunning views throughout the Lofoten - it’s of a cod liver oil factory!

Beautiful minimalist rooms & friendly staff

Loved the minimalist room style and the nook to sit. Breakfast was amazing and special call out to Chef Emrik who really took care of us at breakfast. Staff was very helpful and sweet and courteous

We stayed in one of the old fisherman cottages. Basic room, but no amenities, not even access to coffee. Small view through a tiny window.

Good location Bad views in cottages

Restaurant was amazing with good service. Views in restaurant were as depicted online. The cottage was clean, warm and had a nice bathroom.

We were in two rooms trying to find the view we thought we booked based upon the online photos…which included vast sea views, northern lights, and mountains. We had the option of looking at a cod oil factory, which smelled horrible, or a wall with a little bit on a canal. It also did not look like any of the fisherman’s cottages really had a view at all. So, if the view is what you want, don’t book a cottage, regardless of the photos.

We loved Hattvika Lodge! Such kind people working there who gave us great recommendations on things to do.

Beautiful hotel on the water with amazing staff and wonderful breakfast. Free laundry was very convenient after a week of traveling.

Hillside cabins were perfect with the included breakfast, reading nook and patio. A ceiling fan and better blackout curtains would have made it even more comfortable for sleeping in the summer.

Perfect place for a base in Lofoten!

Location was perfect, rooms were cosy, breakfast was delicious and the staff pride themselves on accomodating and helping you find activities to do outdoors!

Views aren’t as great as suggested on the website, but we didn’t mind cause you can see the character of the surrounding town! And one slightly grumpy staff member was an unexpected moment.

Stunning lodge, fantastic accommodations, gorgeous views, exceptional customer service.

Hattvika Lodge was a phenomenal stay. Without even knowing it was our honeymoon, we were upgraded to the best available lodge after selecting a suite for our initial accommodation. We were greeted with a warm welcome, information about the area, and history of the fishing cottage. The lodge had a great view of the mountains, water and fishing cottages. Food was easily accessible as well as scenic hikes. Perfect middle location in Lofoten for traveling around.

The lodge was incredible. We only wish we could have stayed longer! Couldn't recommend this place more! The only downside to our visit is that not many local restaurants were open (we came in the off season - end of April) so food was a challenge at times and hours were not always accurate on google. Although, this would have likely been a challenge anywhere we stayed. Plan ahead!

Nice stay, friendly staff

Clean, comfortable bed, staff at the reception (the lady who checked us in) was really nice and helpful. Our server at the restaurant was friendly and helpful. The location is nice, there is a Joker very close and a nice little cafe. They allow you to use the washer (no dryer available ). Loved the provided soap/shampoo/conditioner. Close to the airport. Ballstad has really nice trails.

This was the last place we stayed on our trip and in comparison it definitely had the least bang for your buck. It was as expensive or more than other places we stayed (4 different places during our whole stay) and there was less offered and what was offered was more expensive. It was the only one that didn’t provide coffee and/or tea (unless you stayed in a more expensive cabin). Breakfast is another addition (unless again your in a more expensive cabin) so we didn’t try it. The restaurant is on site but expensive, a nice experience but didn’t really live up to the price. They charge 500 NOK for a couple (around 50 dollars) for time in the sauna which was the highest priced one compared to the other ones we used, one with the sauna being included in its price.
