Nicky presented, comfortable, clean and warm, cabin with amazing hot tub.

Perfect for a shot night stay, fully equipped kitchen, clean and presented well.

No soap in toilets or cloths/kitchen roll in the kitchen, no wifi for TV to work for smart apps, sofa was stained. Jets in bath did not work.

The early check out, In my opinion, I essentially paid for two nights & three days, (usually that’s how it works) however, you loose a day, due to having to leave at an early time, which feels like abit of a rush, if this was extended until an PM leave that would be more ideal as I myself am never in a rush to leave, especially staying in such a peaceful environment I always like to take full advantage of my get aways.

Needs upgrade - Beautiful location

Hot tub n the location was amazing

The accommodation is located amidst nature and the surroundings were serene, but the stay itself was a huge disappointment. We stayed at Goldcrest 3, which was very old, poorly maintained, and had an unpleasant smell throughout. The flooring carpets were worn out, and the sofa was saggy, stained, and completely unusable. Only 4 towels were provided for 6 guests. The bathrooms were the biggest letdown—shower fittings were outdated, water pressure was almost nonexistent, and hot water was inconsistent. One bathroom had only a tub with no shower curtain, which was highly inconvenient, especially for elders. In another bathroom, the latch was broken. To make matters worse, there was no water supply for almost 4 hours, leaving us without drinking water and unable to use the toilets. Lighting across the cottage was dim and uneven, making the place feel dull and depressing. The only positives were the hot tub, which was excellent, and the location and parking. ⚠️ Advice to future guests: There are newer cottages on the property, which are smaller and more like caravan-style units, but far better maintained. If you choose to stay here, it’s worth booking one of those instead of the old lodges like Goldcrest. Overall, this property is in desperate need of maintenance and upgrades. The poor condition, smell, and lack of basic amenities completely ruined the experience. I would strongly not recommend staying in the old cottages until major improvements are made.

Nice location and jacussi but needs investment to update and renovate

The jacussi was warm and working when we arrived quite late in the evening and was lovely after a long day of walking the coastal path

The property is very dated and when we saw the jacussi in the morning we could see that it was mounted on rotted away boarding that could give way at any moment.

Lovely setting Children loved the woods. Hot tub with view over looking the woods listening to the birds was so tranquil. Really clean Facilities in kitchen were great

Amazing

The location was idyllic, just what me and my partner needed. As it was a 1 year anniversary of sad event and just wanted to get away. And the surroundings were perfect and so quiet which is what me and my partner prefer. Went for woodland walks which we love, listening to nature and the birds in the trees. And after an exhausting week at work the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Loved every minute and didn’t want to leave. Went to the Corvus inn on the Fri night which had home cooked chips and the food was really good. Didn’t need to book either, so any guest thinking of heading there doesn’t say online about any booking. We just turned up. Was a bit noisy with a larger group of people having some sort of celebration. So had our food and left. Would def recommend this place to anyone and would like to visit again in the future.

Amazing lovley stay.

Chose for a birthday weekend,lovley place beautiful surroundings would highly recommend. Only drawback was unable to speak with anyone as kept saying dialled an incorrect number of which I tried several times, apart from that perfect.

Great for a romantic vacation

This was a surprise few nights away for my boyfriends 50th birthday. When making the booking I did request if they could put some decorations in the room but this was not acknowledged - which was fine as I brought my own. The location was good as we wanted to be away from noise and people. We enjoyed the property with its facilities and the short walks around the property area. The hot tub was a bonus.

No hot water all weekend

The woodland, birds, peaceful location and hot tub. Kaowood Park is far enough off the beaten track to be properly dark at night, to hear owls and enjoy the quiet but not so remote as to be miles from anywhere. The privacy of the hot tub overlooking the woodland was lovely. We hung a coconut bird feeder above it and watched the birds flying to and fro.

There was no hot water on arrival. We sent a message but received no reply and also mentioned it on site in the morning. This wasn't rectified at all during our stay and so we all shared one very low pressure electric shower and had to boil kettles to wash up.
