Bali Sunrise Camp & Glamping

Stunning property at the top of the mountain, most amazing sunrise view. The boys working there are so sweet, and good cooks :) as most reviews state, it is difficult to get to but it’s really not that bad. If you’re by bike or car you can get pretty close, there’s a parking area before the last stretch. Last stretch is doable by bike, personally I didn’t wanna try so I walked, ~6mins- but when you get to the place it’s worth it.

I think “glamping” in the title is a touch misleading (there was a variety of rooms though, not sure how those were) but you do get what you pay for. Unfortunately they didn’t have any toilet paper so they gave me kitchen napkins, and it gets quite cold in the room and the door didn’t close properly so I had to move the bedside table against it to avoid the air getting in.

I could stay there for a week, this place feels like heaven. I really loved the accommodation, everything was perfect.

This is a place to come to relax, to enjoy the views and peace . simple basic cabin in a beautiful place between steep slopes of farming land .

The view is epic, live everyone says. It's a family run place and the people are very sweet.

There was no privacy. Lots of people around right outside the cabin with see-through curtains in the window. The walls of cabin are super thin so you hear EVERYTHING. There was a cat coming by and meowing extremely loudly and loud music blaring from nearby, both from neighboring properties. It did quiet down by the time I went to bed though. There were an intense amount of flies everywhere, so I worried that the food was contaminated. The owner said that it was just a certain time of year that happened. I noticed it everywhere in the mountains at the time, not just there. The website gave me the impression I was getting two rooms but it was just one, and it's a very small room not much bigger than the small bed inside. The private toilet and shower has a separate entrance from the back of the cabin only, and mine was a little stinky. There are two cabins side-by-side and another two much bigger cabins just above them which were already booked. Beware it does get cool at night, perhaps 18-19 C, and google directs you to go the wrong way. It's a very hilly 10-minute walk from the nearest place to drive a car. Fortunately I could reach them on the phone when I arrived and a very sweet young man came promptly to give me a ride on a scooter even holding my carry-on suitcase in front of him. That was an adventure! The view is absolutely stunning and was worth the sacrifices in comfort. You might want to bring your own food, as options for food there are quite limited and there are no restaurants or stores within walking distance.
