If I decide to come back to Batour mountain for sunrise, I’ll deffinately book in Kintamani Cabins

I really love the heated pool and it was short distance walk from our cottage. The food is really nice as well. The owner and staff are nice and helpful.

Just toilet has small snails and rats seen during the night trying to trying to sneak to our food in the bags. Some Insects and flies in the morning.

Personal Hot Springs!

The most valuable thing to mention about this place is the hot springs located on it's territory. They are absolutely necessary especially in the late evening when it is cold outside or after a long trip through the mountains. Facilities are in a good condition. Homemade breakfast was amazing, I enjoyed every bite.

Comfy beds, nice warm pool with hot option standing in the water spouts, and on a route to directly hike Mt Batur.

Very unpleasant experience overall

The cabin looks nice from the outside only

The bathroom was very dirty & there was a really disgusting smell coming from the bathroom & even into the bedroom. The bathroom was full of ants & insects. There were no shower gel nor even hand soap. Also the owner charged us 900k for 2 people for the Mt Batur Jeep sunrise tour & black lava & black sand, which according to me is very expensive & really not worth it. The jeep we got was extremely uncomfortable, very old & it had difficulty going up & the suspension was so bad that it had to go extremely slow.. overall very unpleasant experience.

View from the cabins is amazing - left and right - magnificent Batur mountain and green Abang hills with lake Batur under the white clouds - mesmerizing Pools.. the two pools are my main reason why I like this place.. probably my fave in Kintamani area.

the electric plugs in the room (2 of them) are broken so I have to charge my ipad and iphone outside (in the terrace) maybe the owner can fix it for the next guests

really spacious cabin with cosy bed and private bathroom, hot spring pool was amazing! Family were so helpful and friendly, cooked us an amazing homemade dinner.

Great value for money, good location, and delicious food (we had breakfast and dinner here). Cabins were comfortable and the site had heated swimming pools to take a tip in with a view of surrounding mountains. Special mention to the owner Danny who made our stay extra exceptional. He helped us booked our hike to Mt Batur, drove us around in his car to get to certain destinations, and was just overall a great guy to have a chat with. Highly recommend.

Rodents

Clean towels and bed sheets. Well maintained and beautiful garden. Very nice hot spring pools. Simpel but tasty breakfast.

Problem with rodents (mice/rats)... During my first night I was awakened by scratching noises. A rat has somehow entered my cabin. I contacted the owner and was able to change the cabin, but I couldn't get anymore sleep this night and had no good sleep the other night cause I was afraid that some rodents might invade again. Even before asking what exactly happened the owner blamed me for bringing food in the cabin, which he definitely should have told me about earlier but failed to do so. Btw, it were only some plain cookies so I hardly believe that this was the reason for the rat to enter. Another couple found excrements of mice/rats in their room after returning from a trip and they sure didn't have any kind of food in their room. The area has clearly a problem with rodents and the owner should take some pest control measures to prevent rodents from entering the cabins. Owner refused to give any form of (partial) refund for the first night and didn't show and sign of understanding why it's gross to find a rodent in one's room. Lots of lime stains in the bathroom. Why? It's so easy to clean...

Perfect place in Kintamani

Perfect stay at Kintamani Cabins. The owner and his wife are super nice and very helpful. There is a beautiful garden with hot spring pool. Very enjoyable after a hike. The owner was very helpful to organize our hike to Batur. He has contact with guides and the price is reasonable (even cheaper than what i could find elsewhere). Great cooking also

Amazing stay

We had an amazing stay at Kintamani cabins. The room was clean, bed was confortable. Fan or air con available, although you don't need it at night, the temperature is lower than most places in Bali. The location is ideal if you want to do the mount Batur treck, walk around the lake or climb an other volcano The pool is filled with hot spring water, such a nice feeling after a long walk ! The couple who runs the place is generous and kind, we stayed for four nights here and felt like home. Thanks for everything

Superb

The thermal pool was pretty amazing as it gets cold up in the mountains even when the rest of the island is hot.

It's worth noting to any potential visitors that this area is not as safe as the rest of Bali and the locals are not as friendly either. Any visitors are here solely to climb Mt Batur. We travelled there by scooter with the intentions of doing a sunrise hike as did hundreds of other tourists. We were told by the accommodation that the cost to hire a guide would be 1 million Rupiah. We began the hike at 4am without a guide but half way up at a junction there was a blockade and it was there that we were told we could not continue without a guide and the fee was 400,000 Rupiah for both of us plus a 50,000 Rupiah permit each. I had read other reviews on an app called AllTrails of people who had refused to pay for a guide and had been physically assaulted by locals on the hike for declining. Unfortunately the view was completely obscured by fog so we didn't get to see anything. They also have motorbikes going up and down continuously on the same track all morning.

Great cabin for a Mt. Batur trek

Super close for Mt. Batur trekking, can walk to the entry point with your guide from here. Cabin was large enough, good bed, good bathroom. Nice hot spring heated pool! Host was super friendly and spoke English very well. Breakfast (pancakes and omelette) were super tasty!

The host cannot help it, but there were multiple Indonesian families there for the weekend with little children who were in the pool in the evening until late (so our chill time in the hot spring pool was only short), and in the morning as well. If you’re traveling for the Mt. Batur Sunrise Trek, this would ruin the chill vibe and depending on noise, also reduce your sleep. It was a bit unclear that not all cabins have AC, check which one you choose - although the temperature in Kintamani is already much lower than normal in Bali so not really a problem.
