6 Hunter House - Heart of The City With Free onsite Parking

Location was amazing. Straight out the door onto a great street of shops and restaurants. Altho we were so close to everything, it was really quiet inside which was good. Free parking was also a great bonus. Thete were a few issues mentioned below but we would definitely book again

Would have been nice to get a welcome basket or at least some milk to make a drink. The toilet in the ensuite was stained and looked dirty. We rang City Lets and a cleaner came within 30 mins. She told us that they had tried everything to try and clean it but the stain was permanent. She did try to clean it again to no avail. The heating wasnt working and an engineer came out but couldnt fix it. Not a problem for us as it was a mild week but needs sorting. We were told that towels would be changed and floors mopped mid week but this did not happen. In the room with single beds one of the bedside lights could not be used as there wasnt a socket close enough.

We have stayed here for a week for the last four years. The location could not be bettered , centre of York and yet so quiet to sleep. An allocated car space and totally enclosed and safe, we park up and only use the car when we drive away.

The en-suite lavatory is horribly stained, we mentioned this LAST YEAR. You kindly left us two dishwasher tablets . The cutlery was filthy and the crockery greasy, my first job was to run the dishwasher twice to clean everything. The whole place is just getting shabby. There are no instructions on how to put the heating on which we would have liked to do a couple of times. You really need to sort the wallpaper in the second bedroom, whole panels of it are coming away from the wall. The cooker is not working properly and the note explaining problems is ridiculous. Your cleaners need to lift the cushions on the sofas and clean underneath them.

Perfect location for visiting all of the shops and attractions. Property had everything we needed and more and with a designated parking space.

We found some utensils, cutlery and cooking pans dirty and there was no proper grill to cook on. We couldn’t get the heating to work but this was not a major problem and none of this small issues affected our fantastic stay in this beautiful apartment.

The location was ideal

It was freezing when we arrived, been driving for 4 hours, took a couple of hours to even warm up. Couldn't have showers as no hot water, this was a big issue as on timed and only seemed to get hot water for an hour in the morning. Tried pressing boost button as instructed but water still cold. Very annoying as wanted showers before we went out for our posh dinners we had booked Shower head held in place with a black bin liner!!! Carpets filthy. No mattress protectors, stains on mattresses. V few cooking utensils etc in kitchen. Could do with a good clean and sort out This is the second time we've had this with booking. com that's why we rarely use you now
