16 Hunt Court

A brilliant location - perfectly situated for exploring York. A 5 minute walk into the centre of the city yet quiet and peaceful. The house was beautifully decorated and comfortably equipped. The garden and sun room was a bonus.

Loved the location and modern design of the house. It was less than 10 min walk to Kings Square and the great bakery there. The Minster about 15 min slow walk from the house. Our car didn't move. The garden was simple and a great place to sit. The hosts kept in communication through the booking process. We had all the information we needed to stay. We had everything we needed in the house and it was organised. Beds comfy & the house was clean. The gentle sound of church bells could be heard which was priceless. Garden was a sun trap, bring sun cream!

The upwards kitchen cupboard door doesn't open correctly and you have to hold it to get a glass out, which was heavy & awkward. I think the spring has broken. When you are sat in the garden, anyone walking on the York Wall watch you as you are chilling with a glass of wine. Initially it was a novelty and great people watching, but a bit of privacy would be good. Perhaps a trellis along the garden wall would be sufficient.

Very central, great place for sightseeing and restaurants. All within walking distance. Lovely outdoor area. We spent each evening there having pre dinner drinks. Good quality furnishings.

The 2 kitchen cupboards need the springs regarded. The doors were heavy and did not stay open.
