Wonderful

This is my second time coming back to Cucu House. I like everything about it. The nice and friendly owner and her family, the cute dog that always welcoming us whenever we got back to the room, the beautiful scenery and I can list more and more. The location is good, there are few cafes outside and very near to Ubud Central. Highly recommended to everyone and my friends who are visiting Ubud! (The last picture is from my last stay last year, different room than the first pic)

Lovely place.

The room is spacious, I liked the bathroom with the open shower, the water pressure and the hot water were good. They cleaned every day, the breakfast was good, the staff is very friendly. They are currently building a temple on the property, so when they finish in the afternoon it's quiet and peaceful.

Cosy sweet peaceful convenient stay behind a family compound

A sweet peaceful spot at the back of a beautiful family compound in a family-vibes, convenient neighbourhood. It was nice to see the family around all the time. Loved the outdoor shower! Loved that there was a shared kitchen next to my room. Breakfast omelette was yummy, spot is also near lots of food. Not many mosquitoes (went in Oct). Extremely worth the money. Auntie was very kind and gave me canang (offerings) for my temple trip. Thank you!!!

If you’re a sensitive sleeper there might be roosters in the morning.

It was quiet, peaceful and the staff and other people saying here were so nice. It was very clean and felt like home. Also the breakfast was the best I’ve had in Bali!

The small room I got was just perfect for a solo traveller. Beautiful bathroom in the open. Comfy bed, good aircon, good breakfast. Cafe Vespa is a minute away.

Hidden gem in Penestanan, Ubud!

Comfortable bed, clean room, cute patio, set back from the street so it's nice and quiet! Breakfast was included and different everyday, always delicious.

There's not much soundproofing between rooms but I was lucky as I had considerate neighbours!

Quiet location away from traffic. Clean and comfortable.

The Rooms face each other diagonally. So if you want privacy you have to keep the front curtains closed.

Awesome! Totally recommend!

The communication was excellent from Kadek. The rooms were large and comfy. The bathroom was well set out and large. The breakfast was huge and delicious. The service from the grounds staff was great. The location is perfect to Ubud centre for shopping and dinning. But also local dinning and coffee shops.

Big room, very friendly staff and family. Nice beds and quite place 2 km out of Ubud centre. Some restaurants in the area. Good breakfast, but a slice of bread would be nice :)

Unforgetable stay. Original bathroom!

The bathroom is original. I never had this great experience of taking a shower in the open with the sky view and bird singing. Just unforgetable !

Exceptional value for money in a quiet location.

Very spacious and comfortable room in a lovely garden. Beautiful outdoor bathroom with ample hot water. Access to a kitchen and water dispenser. Kadek and her family were very friendly. Kadek speaks very good English and was very helpful with all my questions.

Really wonderful stay, so comfortable!

The location is great, quiet area of Ubud with ease access to the centre. Small & personal. The family is absolutely lovely! There is such a good vibe & good energy here! Very calm & welcoming!

The kitchen area could have been a bit cleaner, I didn’t use it because of this but next time I’ll stay longer & would like to make full use of it.

I Love Cucu House & the warm helpful Balinese family & vibe. Excellent accomodation & value.

I loved my 4 week stay at Cucu House & the village feel of Penestanan. The room & verandah are spacious with great bed & large handy desk. I felt safe & surrounded by a warm, friendly & helpful Balinese family. The garden setting is gorgeous & as its set back from the street its quiet. All the comforts I need but definitely a special Balinese feel, which of course is why I go to Bali. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning. I will definitely stay here next time for all the above reasons but also its close to everything near & surrounding Ubud. Terima Kasih Kadek & family !

-very friendly and helpful owners -the room was cleaned daily and was spotless -very nice bathroom with open air shower -the bed was very big and comfortable and had a mosquito net -quiet area outside of ubud, but shops and restaurants in walking distance

The staff were all friendly and kind, and they went out of their way to accommodate me. The breakfast was delicious and varied every day and it was in a quiet and peaceful setting.

The owner and his wife really do make your stay pleasant. The place is extra clean, the breakfast is delicious with fresh fruits and juice, the bathroom is perfect, you can rent a scooter and the owner and his family are all very kind.

The neighbour's chickens go to sleep at nightfall and wake up at sunrise :)

Ubicación excelente, cerca de todo incluso andando. Arrozales detrás del hotel muy chulos, más locales y escondidos. Desayuno muy completo y buenísimo, cama cómoda y almohadas también. Personal excelente, llegamos de madrugada y nos estaban esperando. Kadek súper amable.

Maravillosa estancia, la mejor de Bali

Una estancia estupenda. La zona era tranquila, alejada del centro, pero con todos los servicios al rededor (cajero, supermercado, masajes, bares, alquiler de motos), la habitación estaba muy limpia, espaciosa, el baño precioso, y el desayuno lo mejor de todo, pasamos allí varios dias, y cada dia algo distinto y muy rico, con zumo natural. La familia muy amable y limpiaban cada día.
