It was very easy to walk to the palace in downtown split. You also walk by the outdoor market and several supermarkets which was convenient to pick up snacks, etc. The owner was extremely helpful when we had car trouble. She jumped right in and called the car rental company for us and helped us with the solution. I would recommend staying at her place anytime when you want to be close within walking distance to split. The apartment was spotless.
It was a little tricky to find with GPS because it is located within an apartment complex that sits behind another one.

Great views and nicely appointed. Modern furnishing, comfortable. Host was very nice and had a nice kitchen with most everything you would need. Location 2 blocks from entrance to old town.
Parking can be haphazard. We were blocked by a car parked at an angle making it almost impossible to get out. Had to leave a note. The shower was very tight to get around but that’s normal for european apts.

The location was great. The owner was very nice.
The parking situation is not great, but it’s just the way it is in Split. The owner saved us a space, but she had a smart car and we had a big SUV ( my husband and son are too tall for a small car). We managed to fit the car in the space, but later went out to find a car blocking us in. They were nice enough to leave us a phone number, and they were gone by the next morning when we left, so it wasn’t a disaster. Just something to be aware of if you are driving in.
