Lovely location, high price for what’s really a hostel

Location by Hintersee was beautiful.

My own fault for not fully reading reviews, but it was much more a hostel than hotel. I wouldn’t have minded that for a much lower price. As it was, this place was much the same price as some other, much nicer hotels we stayed in.

Great location, but the hotel is not good

Staff were frendly, location is beautifull, clean sheets and new crib they gave us per request. Cheap per one person. Hotel did have a child play room, but it was rather old.

Those 1 star review are quite accurate. Room had black mold in the shower. No free clean water (only tap water in the shower). Soundproofing is non-existant. At night you can clearly hear other tenants talking in the next room. Bulk beds are not good for adult (you can not sit on it even if you are not that tall, I am 173 cm and didn't have enough space to sit on it), proper wi-fi is not free and even for money it's doesn't have a good coverage (for us it worked only in the center of the room). They do have some free wi-fi, but it's really slow (you can not watch a youtube video with it). Included breakfast was seved at 7 30 utill 9 30, but at 8 30 there was basically no food already. Staff eventually broth some bread and ham, but you would have to wait for it. Staff went to their own breakfast at 9 15, even before all guests were out of the dininng hall. I would not recommend going here with a small child if you have other options.

the location was outstanding, really beautiful view from the balcony

incredibly overpriced. yes it is a „hostel“ but I didn’t book a dorm. we booked a regular hotel room with lake view and balcony. for over 110€ I can expect that the bed is made and that I don’t have to do it on my own for so much money. the pillows were an absolute disaster. the free Wi-Fi was a joke, almost all websites were blocked (Netflix, YouTube, Spotify etc) including VPNs. the room doesn’t have a TV and you can’t download anything. you really should not advertise your free Wi-Fi. you also can’t really use your mobile data there, since it’s really hard to get signal in that area. we arrived 30 minutes before breakfast ended and almost everything was gone, I paid as much as others and just because I don’t wanna get up at 7am on my holidays I got barely anything to eat. also breakfast times are ridiculous, only till 9am and check in is between 4-7pm and check out latest at 9:30. really poor hospitality.

eine wunderschöne Erfahrung in einer "einfachen" Herberge - kann ich empfehlen!

Die Lage ist außergewöhnlich: Direkt am Hintersee mit herrlichem Blick auf die Bergwelt. Es gibt im Haus und in der Umgebung tolle Angebote - wer sich gerne bewegt und die Natur liebt, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben. Sehr erfrischend fanden wir die Durchmischung aller Altersklassen: Von Jugend (Schulklassen) bis Senioren.

Das Zimmer-Inventar und das Frühstück sind eher einfach. Ausnahme ist der herrliche Balkon mit dem sensationellen Blick! Die Betten haben einen Kunststoff-Unterbezug, dazu aus unserer Sicht ungute Kopfkissen/Decken. Sehr freundliches Personal, allerdings in der Kantine leider nicht so.

Für die Aktivitäten wie Wanderung ist die Unterkunft zu empfehlen.

Für Familien mit Kindern ist hier bestimmt von Vorteil und auch Wanderer. Die Angebote der Mahlzeiten und Freizeitaktivitäten sind sehr gut.

Die Matratzen und Kopfkissen könnten besser sein. Wenig Parkplätze.

Tinha muitos estudantes em grupos que ficaram gritando correndo e empurrando a gente, sem educação, era uma turma de escola, eu estava com uma bebê e não consegui dormir, no dia seguinte eles começaram a jogar copo com chocolate na nossa sacada e pegou em mim e na minha filha, depois fui reclamar na recepção e aí vieram dizer que foi sem querer, sendo que eles fizeram de propósito e ainda ficaram ruim, me arrependi tanto foi uma experiência horrível.
