We had a wonderful stay in Locarno! The accommodation is situated a little higher up, which makes it peaceful and provides beautiful views of the lake. It’s also a great base for hiking – we really enjoyed exploring the area.
Traveling by train was easy, and there’s a bus that stops right in front of the property. A special highlight was the vegan breakfast: we had informed the host in advance, and she kindly prepared delicious vegan options just for us, which we really appreciated.
Overall, a fantastic stay – we would happily return!

Simple, basic, but clean and reasonable price. Easy to reach Locarno by bus. Easy walk to Orselina. Easy self check in and easy parking around the corner at extra cost.
We were a bit disappointed with the view from our room. I booked it because it was high above Locarno and was looking forward to the ‘lake view’. It should have really said ‘partial lake view’. See photo. Breakfast set times 0830-930 and you share a table with other rooms, but it was ok.

Delicious breakfast served daily. Felt like being home away from home. Very private and beautiful lake views. The host is lovely and welcoming.
