Well-Located Guesthouse with Shared Bathroom

The hotel is a charming villa converted into guest accommodations, conveniently located within walking distance of the train station. The hostess was welcoming and kind throughout our stay. One unexpected detail was that three rooms shared a single bathroom. The hostess explained that this was noted in the listing, but unfortunately, my daughter and I had overlooked it—perhaps it was in fine print. While sharing the bathroom wasn’t a major issue, one evening a fellow guest occupied it for nearly an hour, which made it difficult even to use the toilet. Thankfully, the hostess kindly allowed us to use a private restroom that evening. Despite the surprise, we had a good overall experience, and appreciated both the location and the warm hospitality.

This cozy villa is located very close to the city centre, we could park the car right infront of the house during the night for free. The host is very friendly and gave us tips onto what to visit near Locarno. We had a lovely homemade breakfast, the room was clean and had everything we needed!

Unique hideaway with personalized service in the heart of Locarno

The place is a true gem. We booked all three rooms, so the entire floor was ours - which made it feel very much like sharing a home. Carla, the owner, is very attentive and didn't just cater to our needs but went above and beyond when we had special requests. A bonus if you like dogs is you get to hang out with hers. The place itself is very stylish with lots of art to contemplate and a nice vibe between traditional and modern. It's a stone-throw from the Piazza Grande, but nights were quiet and peaceful (even on weekend). A truly unique place, much more personal and special than any large hotel complex these cities offer nowadays. I can recommend it for a family or a group of friends who want to have a central hideaway that feels like a home with extra perks.

Overall a very good place to stay but you need to know that you are sharing the bathroom.

We liked the owner, she did spend time with us but was very inconspicuous. We had good discussions because she likes cars and motorbikes. She is also a very good cook! The location is excellent and close to the lake.

We didn't realize that we had to share the bathroom. It was mentioned when we booked the room but we didn't pay attention to it.

Exceptional

The host of Villa Art'è was one of the best i have ever met in my years of travelling. She made sure that all our needs were met. She adjusted to weird situation of the pandemic with everything she could, disinfecting the rooms reagularly, taking our temparature before we were allowed into the house and making sure everyone took their shoes off before entering. She was super helpful, gave us tips for activities and was always there if we needed anything. She even offered to make us dinner one night, completely for free! It was super delicious. The house is close to the main square and in walking distance to numerous restaurants and attractions. It was always clean, the rooms were nice and the included breakfast was super yummy and served the beautiful garden. Carla was an incredibly good host in every way possible and we will make sure to return to this wonderfull place!

Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Die "Villa" würde ich wieder buchen und kann sie weiterempfehlen.

Die Lage ist top, das Zimmer ruhig und sauber, das Bett sehr bequem, das Frühstück (im Garten) sehr fein und die Gastgeberin sehr freundlich und sprachgewandt. Die Villa versprüht mit den im Haus verteilten Kunstwerken einen besonderen Charme.

Die Beschreibung auf der Booking Plattform war nicht ganz korrekt: - WC / Dusche war direkt gegenüber unseres Zimmers und nicht wie angegeben im Zimmer integriert. (Dies war kein Problem. Es kam zu keinen Wartezeiten :)) - Bettwäsche und Handtücher standen zur Verfügung. In der Beschreibung sind diese gegen Aufpreis erhältlich.

Wunderbares B’nB in Locarno, zentral gelegen, liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Ich habe mich als allein reisende Frau sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Gemeinschaftsbad war jederzeit super sauber.

Es waren sehr schöne Tage für uns in dieser einzigartigen Atmosphäre.

Frühstück gut, genügend, es wurde auch nachgefragt. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und ruhig. Freundliche Besitzerin des Hauses mit ausgezeichneten Sprachkenntnissen.

Das Etagenbadezimmer , bei Vollbesetzung der 4 Zimmer, ist nicht nicht ganz einfach für die Nacht, wenn man aufstehen muss. Zu Fuss, wenn man mit der Bahn anreist, ist der Weg vom Zentrum zum Haus etwas steil.

Wunderschöner Ort an sehr zentraler Lage. Herzliche und sehr aufmerksame Gastgeberin, welche "Hospitality" im Blut hat. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, das Haus eine einzigartige Oase - es hat alles, was man braucht.

Parkplatzmöglichkeiten für Auto sind begrenzt vorhanden.

Die check-in Begrenzung; man kann hier nicht nach einem event erst spät nachts erscheinen, sondern schon am Nachmittag. Man kann nicht spät nachts verklebt aus der Hitze kommend duschen, um Schlaf der Nachbarn zu respektieren.

Der Preis war zu hoch. Es war ein B&B mit Dusche/Bad auf dem Gang das man mit den anderen Gästen teilt. Das ist grundsätzlich okay, jedoch war der Preis viel zu hoch.

Die Villa Art’è ist ein historisches Denkmal im Jugendstil und hat eine sehr kreative Ausstattung. Das ganze Haus, die Zimmer und der Außenbereich sind eine permanente Galerie mit Kunstwerken. Die Gastgeberin hat alles mit Geschmack und Kreativität gestaltet und eingerichtet. Sie bietet ein individuelles Frühstücksbuffet mit hausgemachten Marmeladen und bei schönem Wetter im Garten. Die Gastgeberin steht für jede Frage und jeden Wunsch zur Verfügung, spricht mehrere Sprachen und ein perfektes Deutsch. Man kann von ihr viele Tipps für verschiedene Ausflugsmöglichkeiten und Aktivitäten bekommen. Die Villa Art’è ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für die Altstadt in Locarno.
