Got what we paid for great price rooms clean and huge cheap price but does need a nice refurb

The rooms were huge beds comfortable need a bit of an update but did the trick n was good for one night stay

The property is so dated needs a complete refurb but then prices would go up Zi suppose but rooms were clean entrance is a bit shoddy

Not the most comfortable room and unlikely to make a return visit.

It was value for money in that the cost reflected what was provided.

Room was a bit dated with bed and sofa bed in need of an upgrade - not the most comfortable night. Restaurant and bar both closed with these services transferred to the pub. Food in pub could've been better even by 'pub grub' standards. Breakfast in a bag wasn't great either, but for the cost it also reflected what you got.

Comfortable and spacious rooms - Always friendly staff.

Always enjoy our stay at The Highfield. The staff are all friendly, rooms spacious, clean and comfortable.

Our room was the nearest to the entrance. With a function on you hear the music and chatter from anyone standing outside for a vape or cig break and with our window not quite closing properly it was noticable.

Okay but not great value for the price paid (£87)

Pleasant reception staff member who booked us in. Room was clean and big, no odours. Quiet location at the back of the building.

TV was very small 24"? and didn't work at first until I auto tuned it. Even then poor reception. Cold water was luke warm and not pleasant to drink taking out medication. Pillows were okay but pillowcases un-ironed and wrinkled. Only two milks per person per cup! Breakfast in dining area didn't start until 9.30am? We had ordered a continental breakfast and it had to be delivered to our room the night before. How are we expected to keep the milk fresh?

One night at the Highfield

The room was excellent, thoroughly cleaned, and extremely spacious. The receptionist was friendly on arrival.

There wasn't always someone on the reception desk to answer questions about the hotel's leisure facilities, dining arrangements, and the surrounding area. As this was my first visit, I felt a little lost.

Comfortable, clean and enjoyable with the flexibility you only find in a non chain establishment

Very clean and had leisure facilities which were good, clean and accessible

Property was a little dated and would have benefited from some additional things like more shampoo and soaps in the rooms. However overall our stay was excellent, the hotel was really nice, the ambience was really good and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the rooms very spacious and very clean. We would absolutely stay again

Out dated, bed very uncomfortable like sleeping on a hard board. Both myself and partner work up with back pain. Price is high when can stay at an holiday inn for same or cheaper price and be much more comfortable

A little noisy as there was a party of around three dozens young people staying as a group while I stayed overnight. Thumping of suitcases and footsteps well into the late evening and again early in the morning.

Excellent location for what we needed, room is spacious and not too cozy. Excellent facilities, close to all amenities. Pub served excellent food and reasonable priced

Fair accommodation but not when a music event is occurring on the site

The staff were helpful, the room size was good and clean. We did not have breakfast as needed to depart early to an event. We liked the fact that we could keep our dog in the room.

We did not like the sound from an event attached to the hotel, party go-ers spilled into the car park outside our room and were obviously having to shout to speak over the music(?) from the open doors of the facility. This did not stop until 12.30 am, add another 15 minutes for people to disburse. If the hotel had warned us we would have stayed elsewhere. At the least we should have been accommodated the rooms at the back of the building.

Slightly overpriced to be worth it

The staff member working in the gym was really nice. The room was big and the bed comfy with a nice view. The sauna was really good, the gym on the small side, the lessons in the pool so I didn't get chance to use it, but it looked quite nice.

Found a toenail on the floor in my room and lots of bits on the carpet, so doesn't seem like it would have been vacuumed particularly thoroughly. There was a bright green light illuminating the room all night (a fire exit thing, but you don't see it in other hotels) that I had to cover up. The extractor fan in the bathroom sounded like a jet engine. The corridors smelled of cigarette smoke (although that isn't necessarily the fault of the hotel, and may have been 1 bad guest). Overall I'd say it felt about £10 overpriced (or had the price included a cooked breakfast it would have been fairly priced - the hotel doesn't offer breakfast) and if there wasn't an extra charge to use the gym (the steam room and jacuzzi were out of action).

Perfect place for a short stay and great quality for the price. Will book again!

The room was very large. Dated but nice and clean. The bed was comfy and the little sofa was a nice extra. The water was hot and had good pressure for the shower. Extra tea bags, coffee and milk were available in reception without needing to ask.

We had to wait for someone to come to the desk and the number to call didn't work. We couldn't get any wifi connection but the 4g signal was good. very small TV

Handy for the wedding we were attending and it had a swimming pool and jacuzzi, tea making kettle in room

The shower had only cold water in the Ensuite room Breakfast wasn’t good value Just cereal and fruit juice and cooked breakfast consisting of many low quality items And there was no clear option to include breakfast on booking but only at the premises where there was an added premium because we booked at the hotel. Also, when booking the hotel the leisure facilities appeared to be included in the room price but when we were at the hotel we were told to pay £5 each to use facilities

The manager on duty was lovely and very helpful.

We wanted breakfast before we had to leave but we're informed on the morning that breakfast was not until 9 30am which didn't help us so we had to go to McDonald's before we set off driving as 9 30am was too long to wait.

I didn’t my room was not clean. The bed was broken. The wardrobe doors were almost falling off. The cold water was running with warm water. The whole place was not clean.

Airport stop

Size of room. Location near airport and supermarkets. Pub on site was really nice. Hairdryer,tea coffee etc all in room. Clean and nice bedding. Staff really nice. Nice touch having dvd's and books available.

Just very dated . But for the price it was average. The bath was rusty all around the plug hole, cracked tiles and poor quality towels. I dont like to criticise because i realize how difficult it must be for business's but there are a few things that need attention. No kerb appeal at entrance.

Poor and Dissapointing

Big room

Shower would only provide COLD water Asked reception where to get food - sent me off down the village (called Idle!)over 1m walk away - everything (really everything shut by 10pm).... Whereas up the road 2mins walk was Macdonalds, supermarket shops etc even by gone 11pm. Thanks a lot for NO HELP AT ALL...

Everthing was as expected, friendly and helpful service, large room, value for money and extremely convenient location for our needs. We didn’t get to use the leisure facilities which were a bonus.
