It was functional but extremely tired, dated and not very clean. The staff member who took our food order was very abrupt and not helpful. Duty manager dealt with our problem with the food very quickly and politely. The food was awful!! The room could have done with a deep clean, especially the bathroom floor. We did feed this back to the receptionist as we checked out.

The staff are polite

The hotel is outdated and the available power outlets made it difficult to work—several in my area didn’t function. I was told I could use a specific space, but management later complained about me being there. If the hotel doesn’t provide work areas with working outlets, guests shouldn’t be criticized for trying to find alternatives. The Wi-Fi kept cutting in and out day and night, and there were no gluten-free food options available. Overall the hotel felt dated, noisy, and not well equipped for modern needs. I would not stay here again.

The heat in our rooms. It was so cold with no central heating, just a stand alone electric heater. Also the breakfast wasn't as hot as it should have been.

Room .Bed Comforable. Tea and Coffee facilities ok. Bathroom, much to be desired, there were cobwebs around the lower door frame, the floor was stained and dirty and the toilet cystem didnt flush properly. The toilet system has a problem or something working with it in the cupboard, as when I went to bed I slept bathroom side of the bed, there was a intermittant noise It didnt stop me sleeping but if someone who wasnt so tired ,it would be Chinese torture drip drip ect.

As we only stayed the 1 night that question is difficult to answer.

Underwhelming breakfast as not enough food ready all at same time missing eggs and mushrooms. No hash browns. Toast took an age to toast. Basic fruit options Corridors carpets tired and unhygienic looking. Needed a good clean. Far too hot atrium restraunt and rooms

The room was very comfortable, clean and roomy.

Not enough coffee and no tea in the room. The towel rail in the bathroom had no fuse so there was no heat.

Dog-friendly (quite a few different breeds from Staffies, Great Danes & Spaniels which was nice) Good selection of drinks available at the bar (Which closed at 11pm) Bar Staff were polite and happy to assist unless there was a complaint.

Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives. Only one part of the exterior looked attractive and it did not match the advertised photos. Internally, the hotel feels like a converted school and is in poor condition. Our room had a strong smell of mould, excessive window condensation, insufficient towels, and a hard, uncomfortable bed. The bathroom was poorly stocked (limited toilet roll and no toilet brush). My dad’s room was extremely small, the bed was falling apart, and the shower was not fitted properly. Overall, the rooms clearly need refurbishment. The corridors were uncomfortably hot, signage was confusing, and carpets appeared very dirty. The bar closed at 11pm, drinks were very expensive (£28 per round), and the bar TV did not appear to be standard hotel television (non-English channels and a streaming-style setup). Breakfast (8:30–11:00am) was very poorly managed. Arriving at 9:30am, we were not greeted, the coffee machine required maintenance (resulting in weak, gritty coffee), and there was very little food available — no hot items, cold meats, or fruit. Cereals were empty, croissants were tiny, and there were no proper cups, only plastic takeaway ones. Only two young staff members appeared to be managing breakfast. After waiting 35 minutes with no food, we left and ate elsewhere. When requesting a refund, we were told this was not possible due to booking online, despite breakfast being effectively unavailable due to poor preparation and understaffing. Overall This stay was well below expectations for a Mercure hotel. Significant improvements are needed before we would consider returning.

Overall value for money was absolutely fantastic, the staff couldn’t do enough to help, and the cleanliness was 2nd to none, you’re doing a good job guys, keep up the good work, William Butterworth

There was nothing I didn’t like everything was perfect

Breakfast was ok though when things ran out staff were pretty slow to replace/refill them. Well located for Saltaire and Shipley. Bed was comfy

The room was mouldy, unclean, rotting windowsills and bathroom floors. Food in the evening was way too expensive and not good quality (£15.50 for a frozen chicken burger, 8 chips and a small pile of brown lettuce!? Come on...)

The bedding was dirty, the sofa bed was stained, the music and shouting at 1am in the morning was unacceptable.

Location and staff very friendly

Room shower was not very clean with mould some places. The shower rail where you hang the shower head there was cap missing so i injured my head was bleeding stayed in room 119 . Did complain to reception staff 2 times but no one made such a big deal .

Excellent room and facilities! A bit difficult to find as lots of corridors and up and down in lift a few times! Room lovely and warm and a super huge bed with lovely white bedding! The hotel trimmed up lovely for Christmas!

Looks nice on the outside, nice staff, very warm hallways and reception

No heating in the room, old windows that don’t close properly, mold on windows and walls, water on the windows dripping down, smelly room and bathroom, full of dust and looked like it’s hasn’t ever been cleaned. Super noisy can hear any steps on the outside

The staffs were nice and friendly. The room was reasonable size.

Shower tap, it was playing up alot, most of the time it was too hot it was burning my skin the cold water was taking too long to come, it was not easy getting to the right temp. On top that tap wouldnt turn off. I tried both directions it was working. I think the shower taps need to be sorted.

Location.

Noisy neighbouring room. Having to request towels as only for 1 provided in the room. Location of reception - has moved since last visit, now next to the bar. Felt too open and unsecure. Rooms could do with a bit of an update too.

Staff were very friendly and helpful before and during our stay. The entrance way is stunning and made they stay feel luxurious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Breakfast was lovely. We had views across the hills which was stunning.

Windows are very cold and makes the room cold. Portable heaters are provided and with the curtains closed the room was lovely and warm, but in the morning, with the curtains open, even the portable heater couldn’t warm the room.

Didn’t have breakfast thought it was quite expensive.
