A lovely overnight stop.

An interesting property with free parking nearby. Our host made us feel very welcome, the bedroom was comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the bathroom pristine. We had ordered a home cooked dinner to heat up from the extensive menu, which was delicious and breakfast the next day was just what we needed to set us up for the day´s travelling ahead. A lovely overnight stop!

A wonderful cared for property, hosted by a host that values her guests and maintains the property to a high standard.

A lovely property located in a idyllic spot and close to central Abbeville which has a number of restaurants, bars and there is also a large supermarket opposite the property. The apartment was nicely decorated, clean, warm and had everything wevneeded. The kitchen contained all the appliances and cutlery required to cook and dine within the apartment. Florence is a fantastic host, very pleasant and knowledgeable on the local area. She cooks lovely local cuisine ans sells locally sourced French food that you can buy and take home with you. An absolute gem, that we would certainly book again on our way back to Calais and I forgot to mention that that property is pet friendly.

Wish we had planned to stay a couple more days.

A relaxing and welcoming stay after a long day travelling, and somewhere to revisit.

Great location with a short walk into town and all the bars restaurants and shops. There is a huge garden that is beautifully maintained and a pleasure to explore; so tranquil considering the urban location. We had a super breakfast of fresh local produce yoghurt, fruit cheese, pastries and jams; Florence asked what we would like for breakfast from a number of options the night before and it was all delivered direct to our room; what more could you ask for!

A fabulous enclave in a lovely town. We were made very welcome from our arrival and everything explained meticulously.

We cannot say enough good things about our stay here! Florence was the kindest host and the room and garden area are absolutely charming. We were able to order breakfast as well as a pre-made dinner from her shop and the meals were absolutely delicious and so worth it! They were delivered in a little basket with a hand written note. Honestly, this is how B&B's used to be and it is so wonderful to be taken care of like this! The property is also dog-friendly as long as your dog is well-behaved and on leash. We would absolutely stay here again. Merci beaucoup, Florence!!

Fabulous for a short stay enroute to the tunnel.

Lovely location in Abbeville, which is a very pretty French town. Parking was free and easy outside the property. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped. We stayed with our two small dogs and it was ideal as there is a lovely garden at the back which the owner is happy for you to use. The room was comfortable and warm. The breakfast was perfect with fresh pastries and condiments. The owner was very helpful and welcoming. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Fantastic and surprising little find

What a surprise! Certainly did Not expect to find such a beautiful place behind the unassuming old carriage entrance doors The host was lovely and so helpful. The room was fantastically well decorated with everything you need for a short stay with a beautiful terrace overlooking the stunning garden. A very short walk into the centre with plenty of bars and restaurants. We only stayed one night en route to Calais but would certainly recommend

There's nothing we didn't like but Google maps do not PIN locate the property perfectly. However, if you look opposite from the Velo 80 you see the large double brown gates and the sign for the property.

Vive la France…lovely stay in a typical French townhouse with beautiful garden

The beautiful accommodation and garden in a perfect location for exploring the Somme area. Florence the owner is absolutely fantastic, so helpful, friendly and has perfect English if your French is rusty. Breakfast sat outside in the lovely garden or wine in the evenings over looking the pond. A truly fantastic stay.

It was a memorable stay and we felt immediately welcome from the moment we arrived until we left.

The breakfast was beyond expectation. The bread and croissants were freshly baked and full of flavour. The butter and jams were organic and regionally sourced and the breakfast hamper was brought to our room.

Florence is so attentive that I don't think there could have been anything to improve. My only suggestion is that we were not sure we had the right place. So perhaps a sign on the door indicating where to pull the bell and a contact number somewhere next to it might be useful.

Friendly comfortable self-catering in the centre of a nice town.

A very central Abbeville location, in a grand old building, right by the riverside. A free parking space was on the road just outside. Florence met me with the keys and gave plenty of info. There a five flats, all opposite her own residence. Mine was essentially ground floor, with a small kitchenette and bathroom on that level, and then a double bedroom on a mezzanine level. The decor is very modern, despite the age of the building. The shower was powerful and hot, and the bed very comfy. There was a small cooker, and microwave etc. in the kitchenette. and there were enough utensils and pans, should you want to cook (though not enough for complex meals!). The heating was on at a comfortable level. I didn't meet Joseph but Florence was very friendly and informative. It's also pet friendly (6 euros additional) so my big dog Colby was happy. I shall definitely stay again as it's well situated for the channel crossing and Abbeville is a sweet town.

Some filter papers and a cone for coffee making. There was a nespresso machine, but I had no pods. A very minor gripe.

Florence and Joseph could not have been friendlier! They were so very welcoming and helpful and kind. The garden was a huge surprise..it is beautiful! We were free to roam around, or sit and relax (with a book or a bottle of wine, weather permitting!) We wanted for nothing. We would highly recommend this delightful place to any and every one!

The perfect peaceful oasis. This "secret garden" is such an enjoyable extra added to a very comfortable well equipped studio apartment. What a find! An absolutely ideal venue to break our journey and relax after a long drive. We will definitely be back if time allows, and we rarely return to places visited in France, as there is so much choice. However, Au Jardin des Deux Ponts is special and Florence is delightful.

An ideal stopping off point to or from the channel ports, but also worth a longer stay.

Excellent location, a short walk to the centre of Abbeville. The room was beautiful, and the kitchen area was a bonus. The host was helpful and informative, suggesting places to visit and eat. Best of all was the large garden - an oasis of beauty and calm. We just wish we'd had more time to relax in it.

We find foam mattresses a bit hot, but maybe that's just us!

Abbevilles Secret Garden

When you first approach the large but innocuous gate, you wonder if you have booked the right place! This is not what it looked like on the photos you think! But then the gate opens and you are greeted by your lovely host… and the most wonderful secret walled garden. Wonderfully mature, totally serene yet close to the centre, with lovely bars and restaurants… and very dog friendly… the room is a mixture of old and colourful newness! Expertly done! Clean, bright, and comfortable. 10 out of 10
