The hotel was in a great location. I am a disabled traveller and use a wheelchair so hotel facilities and accessibility are very important to me. The hotel reserved a disabled parking space for us for 15 Euros for the night. They had a luggage trolley available to take our bags to our room. From our hotel, it was an easy walk to the Cathedral (which we could see from our room), and there was a very nice square there with cafés and restaurants. We found a lovely patisserie where we returned for breakfast the following morning - La Pie Coline.
Once in the room I was very disappointed to find that the fold-down seat in the shower was the same as one I'd had in another hotel. It is downright dangerous. The seat is small - only about 14 inches wide - and is convex (curved upwards). I had an identical seat in another hotel, and when this seat is wet, it becomes extremely slippery, and because it is convex, I slipped off and crashed onto the floor. This time I did not use this seat, and took a wooden one in from the room. These shower seats should be banned. They supposedly can carry the weight of a person 170 kg, but a person that size could NEVER be safe on a 14 inch wide shower stool.

Room overlooking the town, reasonable size, separate loo from shower room. Clean. Good breakfast. Great location. Car park small but secure and pre-booking essential. Each space could probably take 3 motorcycles carefully arranged, it's 15 euros per space per night.

Great hotel in the perfect location. Our room had a beautiful view of the church. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had supper and breakfast at the hotel and it was great. Would definitely stay again.

The bed was comfortable and we appreciated having a family room.
The room felt tired and dated, with a visible stain on the floor. Only two hours after check-in (around 6pm), we received an unwarranted noise complaint via phone, which was upsetting and made us feel unfairly targeted and deeply uncomfortable, especially with no effort made to verify the complaint. The hotel restaurant, the only available dining option, didn’t open until 7pm (as is local custom), and the food was disappointing — particularly the moules marinières. Overall, the hotel felt unwelcoming to families with children. The receptionist even mentioned that many guests don’t like children and that the hotel may become child-free, which left us feeling excluded and judged.

The Mercire never lets us down. A little more expensive, but worth it.
A little quiet.

Comfy bed, friendly staff.
Getting woken up at 5:30am by the horrible noise of traffic coming through the window, no water or milk cartons in the room.

Comfy bed. Quiet room. Bath and shower. Parking available close by in a free car park with no height restrictions for our VW van.
Good choice of menu for evening meal. Lots of choice at breakfast. Lift to upper floors.
Very clean. The room was cool during the heat.
The staff said I did not have a booking despite me showing them the email evidence. And that I had paid in advance.
In the end they believed me but it took some persuasion. All was well in the end and the room made up for the worrying few moments.

The hotel is in a good location and we have stayed here before for this reason. The rooms are basic but clean.
The food in the restaurant was poor. We have eaten here twice before and the food was good but unfortunately not on this occasion.
No milk provided in room for drinks
Noise from about 5am from walls (air con?)

The location

The location was OK for me as I was travelling on to the port. There wasn't much choice of places to eat or drink in town.
The room was very basic with an uncomfortable disabled bathroom, nothing like photos online.
There were no staff to serve drinks at the bar. I asked at reception and then waited a further 10 mins, finally I left and went to the shop opposite.
In the morning, I tried to shower, but there was no hot water. I reported this to reception when checking out but she just shrugged her shoulders and asked for payment. No apology and no discount on room. The room wasn't worth half the price I paid...shame

Good location, free parking nearby, dog friendly
Definitely below what I would expect from a Mercure hotel. The room was small and in need of renovation. The light shade was broken, and a shelf above the bed was so oddly positioned it pretty much guaranteed you would bump your head on it! The mattress covers were plastic and unpleasant to sleep on, and for over 160 euro a night, very poor value.

Adequate sized room for short stay.
Bed comfortable.
Room quiet overnight
Shower pressure was very slow, could be improved.
The bed has a plastic mattress protector on it which makes you sweat and stick to the sheet, other types of protector are available.

Have been before and it did not disappoint this time. The hotel has a good position within Abbeville Had a lovely stay, the staff were cheerful and helpful. We ate in the restaurant and the choices were good and delicious.
Only thing I can say our door of the room was very noisy could do with some oil on the hinge
