They’d rather take your money than give you a good experience or be fair. Don’t stay!!

The rooms were fine but given we asked for adjoining rooms (due to ages of kids) and before we were able to cancel - which went without response and on arrival we had two rooms on different sides of the corridor (which does suit our kids ages) the hotel were great on the night accepting the second room key back and advising we would get a refund through booking.com. Alas they never authorised it and are adamant that they deserve to charge us for the second room even though we did not set foot in it and we only found out that they don’t have adjoining rooms when we arrived. Hugely disappointing but you know what the French are like.

Safe, comfortable, no stress, pet-friendly stay!

Quiet, friendly, I loved it is in a retirement community, feels so safe. Plenty of parking. Modern facility. 5 minute walk to start of active Downtown, restaurants, grocery. Full service train station right next door. Dog-friendly!!

The apartment is pretty sparse for amenities no toiletries and kitchen accessories are limited for cooking. But having a balcony makes up for it and neighbourhood amenities available compensate.

Exceptional.

We have stayed here before. Yes it's sheltered accommodation but you get, secure parking and a large well equipped apartment with a balcony or patio. Fully equipped kitchen so we cooked our own evening meal. Great breakfast in the morning to start your day. It is only a short walk into the town centre and just an hour away from the Eurotunnel.

Very good and we would certainly stay again

Comfortable, spacious and well equipped studio apartment.

Everything was fine . After check-in , we went out and returning later in the evening it took us awhile to gain entry . There is a notice on the door saying to use the adjacent door after 8pm . We had a key fob and were trying the door next to the main reception. We had misunderstood and the side door is a walk along the front of the building and then round the side.

Good for our age group All the amenities Like being able to use the hydrotherapy facilities after our long journey.

Needs a few maintenance jobs attending to nowadays We have visited for a few years & see the difference in time passing Our apartment had a blocked drain in the wash basin, a stained toilet and a few things are looking a bit tired now.

We were looking forward to staying there but we were a bit disappointed on the whole.

It was a nice enough apartment, comfy bed. The pillows are French ie square. Only 1 each supplied. Good sized bathroom/shower.

There is a small kitchen area but not much supplied. There was 1 not very clean tea towel supplied, no washing up liquid, no cleaning things so we had to buy these. We were there 6 days but the towels weren’t changed in that time. The floors needed a wipe over and the drain in the bathroom basin smelled a bit. It is quite a walk into town if you’re not too fit and we found parking very difficult in town. There is a bus stop nearby though. The wifi was useless. The other thing was the duvet. The bed is 140cms wide. It seemed to be a king size duvet in a double bed duvet cover. It was folded inside the cover, too long for the bed and heavy so it wasn’t ideal.

On previous visits, we were able to order food to be delivered to our room and were a bit disappointed to not have food available this time, after a long journey. Otherwise, we loved staying here.

Being seniors ourselves we appreciated the company of these people.

It was a seniors home with rooms available that are let out. It was very friendly and the residents seemed pleased to see visitors. The facilities were very good and it is a good location.

Comfortable but a little constraining.

This was a self catering establishment, mainly an old people's home. It was quiet and well run. The staff were pleasant and fairly helpful.

You could not leave the site after 8pm or before 8am. It was dificult to get our little dog out late evening and early morning. Cooking equipment and utensils were spartan.

Clean, spacious and good value accommodation with free parking.

There doesn't appear to be any means to check in after 8pm. We had to change our plans a little bit. It is not a big issue but something to bare in mind when you are booking.

Spacious and modern, but so stuffy and airless

Very clean and well maintained. Secure, ample car parking. Low price for such a spacious apartment.

No air conditioning or fans, which made the apartment so stuffy that all four of us struggled to sleep. I even went on the balcony at 2am just to get some air! You can’t have windows open as, when we did, lots of bugs came in. My husband also had to go back out to the car at about 22:30 and he found it very hard to get out, and especially getting back in again.

We didn’t need breakfast. We have stayed here many times on our way south. Good secure car park an absolute must for us. Very dog friendly.

Very long walk to room with bags but it is a large building. Also no air conditioning or fans in the room on a very hot night, although we didn't ask if fans were available.

Convenient location for travel to/from UK

Location was good for our next day journey to the uk.

It’s important to know that the apartments are part of a care home. It is totally geared towards the permanent residents, which makes it less appealing as a guest. The rooms are good and clean but no air conditioning or fans and the night we stayed it was 26 degrees in our room! We tried opening the windows but there was a lot of noise, so we only got around 3 hours sleep, which before a long journey the next day as less than ideal.

Wonderful clean apartment with available kitchen and secure parking with closed gate at night, therefore very safe for my motorbike.

Awful wi-fi not connecting to internet. Breakfast was delivered from outside the structure, hence cold pre-made omelette.

Very comfortable and spacious accommodation in an unglamourous town.

This property is a modern sheltered retirement complex which lets out its spare suites as a hotel, which is just fine. Our suite was equipped as a place to live permanently, so spacious and comfortable.

Abbeville was largely flattened in WWII and rebuilt in the worst possible manner. It has a wonderful main abbey church but otherwise has nothing to offer the tourist.

We were unaware that the main purpose of the building is the care of the elderly so that was a surprise on arrival. We also had a problem with ants in the rooms which we did highlight and the issue was addressed but with limited success.

Fabulous location, clean property, beautiful apartment which suited our needs. We arrived quite late and departed early so didn’t have time to check out the facilities but they looked fabulous

It was a long way from the front desk to the room which made for quite a walk with bags but understandable to keep us from their own guests
