Rixos The Palm Hotel & Suites - Ultra All Inclusive

We recently stayed here and had a mixed experience - not because of the overall quality, but because of the vibe. From the front entrance and reception to the restaurant and pool teams, everyone was welcoming and attentive, but they just looked stretched to their absolute limits. The food was decent, but definitely not a 5-star culinary experience. Breakfast was easily the standout option. On the plus side, our room was spacious with really comfy beds, and the complimentary snacks and drinks were a great touch. Having the adult pool was a total saving grace.

The hotel has just reopened, and the staff seemed completely overworked. We actually left the hotel twice to dine elsewhere because the buffet options got very repetitive, and the dining area was chaotic with children running around everywhere. We really wish we’d known beforehand just how heavily focused on families this hotel now is. It was packed to the brim with lively kids. If you are looking for a relaxing couples' holiday, this is definitely not the spot for you. Only go if you have young children. If you want a quiet, relaxing escape, look elsewhere.

There is nothing not to like. The hotel is amazing, Staff are attentive, Food and drinks are top quality. Rooms are really nice and comfortable.

Cleanliness, staff friendliness, buffet and restaurants were quality.

As a 5-star property on The Palm, this hotel fell far short of expectations. The entrance and rooms feel incredibly dated and lack any "wow" factor. Our main issue was the air conditioning. Upon check-in, the room was freezing, the floor tiles were like ice, and the thermostat wouldn't go above 21°C. Despite four different engineers visiting, no one could fix it. The last engineer arrived at 10 PM and suggested turning the AC off entirely from the main board, leaving us to sleep in a humid, moisture-filled room (See attached photo of the mirror in the room during the night). While they attempted another fix the next morning, the issue returned by the afternoon. Since we were only staying for two nights, we didn't bother calling a sixth time. Additionally, the beds were uncomfortable, the pillows were very hard, and our room wasn't ready until 3:30 PM (half an hour past the promised 3:00 PM check-in time). Lastly, be aware that the all-inclusive package does not cover lunch on your check-out day. We learned this the hard way and had to leave without lunch. For comparison, properties like the Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al Khaimah , where we stayed last month, include check-out day lunch on their all-inclusive rates. Given the price point, the service and maintenance here need serious improvement.
