Calypso

New, modern room and shower room finished to a good standard. Room slightly small, especially if there are 2 of you in it

The staff were very good. We stayed in the “new” Calypso rooms. They were very new, good sized rooms, nice bathroom with a good sized balcony. I think these rooms are bigger than the “old” Calypso buildings rooms.

We had booked a triple room in the “old” Calypso building, but were given a double room in the new building. No explanation was given, however the room appeared to be bigger and newer. However, the view was not as good and the building is a few streets back from the old Calypso building at the back of the town. The other matter was that the power went off in the town at around 10am (our ferry was due at 11:30am) so there was no Airconditioning in the room. This appears to be a regular occurance, as all the main taverna’s had their own generators which all were running while we waited for the ferry…

Very friendly owners and a very quiet and comfortable place. Their restaurant was also very good, with fresh and authentic food. It is a perfect option for a stay in A Roumeli!

Basic clean rooms (this is a good place to stay after hiking the Samaria Gorge), and friendly staff. Has a nice restaurant but no access (or facilities) to the beach. Another hotel offered chairs and umbrellas at the beach if you ate at their restaurant or stayed at the hotel.

No available blankets and got very chilly at night
