Excellent stay and great apartment

We’ve stayed here several times and always love it. The location is good at the top of the road in Sougia - it’s not on the front but it’s only a couple of minutes walk and we like the more peaceful end of the village. The room has been beautifully renovated since our last stay and was a really great self catering apartment. We would have loved to stay longer. We had a large and sunny balcony with sea view from the side of it. Chris is always super helpful and very welcoming.

Decent apartment in sleepy Sougia, good base for walking.

Decent apartment in sleepy resort of Sougia with leafy balcony. Plenty of tavernas to choose from. Great for access to Lissos Gorge and the E1 Coast Path.

Some of the kitchen equipment wasn't working on arrival, although the manager did his best to sort things out quickly. A bit noisy as overlooks a carpark and close to a road junction behind the village.

It was ok, except for the bathroom and the fact that nobody warned us about the defrosting danger

1. No window or ventilation in the bathroom. 2. Wi-fi not working. 3. Due to a blackout of 24 hours, we had to clean ourselves off the floor the water from the refrigerator.

Great studio in a gorgeous location

Such a lovely, little studio with a pretty balcony looking out to the mountains. Chris is a great host and very helpful. Sougia is a delightful village with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We wish that we had stayed longer.

We have booked to go again!

The host was extremely helpful and friendly. The private courtyard was lovely to sit in with complimentary wine after the journey to Sougia. The hotel was on the edge of town so rather quiet and peaceful. It was only a few minutes stroll to the town and the sea.

Passable if you need a place to stay and there is nothing else available

We just like that we had a place to sleep…

We didn’t get the room that was presented in the pictures. Seduced by the garden view pictures of the room we selected and we got a balcony overlooking the backroad. We finished the Samaria track and checked in late in the evening, there was no hot water. The “kitchenette” urgently needs an upgrade.

Superb

Great little ground floor room with outdoor space just on the edge of Sougia. A two minute walk to the beach and the tavernas and shops. Great location for doing the Samaria Gorge (get 7am bus from Sougia and boat back from Aga Roumeli). The host Chris was very relaxed and friendly.

Chris, the host, was amazing. Friendly, very helpful and informative. He is a real asset. The property is on the main street at the top of the small hill as you drive into the village of Sougia. An easy walk to the beach, tavernas and the main area. For a small town Sougia has several excellent tavernas, many with seating right by the sea. It is laid back and at least in early May not slammed with tourists. The wifi was good, studio unit was reasonably well equipped, small patio outside. You can do several great hikes from Sougia or take a boat to the ruins of Lissos.

The water in the shower was lukewarm even thought the bathroom and kitchen sinks had hot water.
