Beautiful quiet spot overlooking the sea about a mile from the town. Antonia the manager was pleasant and Claudia in the restaurant served us really well all week. Food was very nice and reasonable in the restaurant
This place has 2 problems for sleeping. One, the wind. Being on the south coast its something you have to put up with. It's not all the time but when it's strong it's loud and really buffets the tent. The Second, extremely rude and inconsiderate people who think it's fair game to be noisy all night. Quite a few appear to be there all the time. Talking loudly. Last night at 4 in the morning , I had to shout at them to shut them up. Banging doors, banging around in the kitchen at 5am last night too. Going to the toilet middle of the night and again slamming doors. Three really should be a silent curfew after 12. But the inconsiderate idiots would probably ignore it. They should be threatened with being asked to leave if they break it but that would affect their business. Quite a few seem to go off around 10 and appear back in the middle of the night, probably drunk or on drugs so don't care or just have no manners. It's not just here ,we had it with drunk greek girls on another island 3 years ago. The first 2 nights the manager gave us a room as it was too windy which wS very nice. 60 euros a night. Once we moved to the tent we realised there were noise problems but felt awkward to ask to move back again. So my advice is if you want a good night's sleep go for the room. I don't want to affect their business because they are nice people but I have to say how we found it and urge them to put a noise ban after a certain time. And I would say to the rude people if you want to chat at such time ,cross the road onto the beach where you can't be heard. They need a good slap and pulling up on their behaviour. Otherwise a good stay

I booked the tent with the campbed inside. I had a very enjoyable stay and will definitely be back soon. I was delighted to realise that Paleochora and the campsite didnt change that much since I was last there many years before. The Taverna is great as are all the staff. Simple living in a quiet location, easy to walk into town and beach is very close. Love it.

The showers and toilets The outdoors The sleep was decent
The general atmosphere wasn't very friendly; the staff seemed uninterested and had no time for us. The kitchen lacked basic utensils, was pretty filthy and generally unpleasent to cook in. The beach is stunning, but when we wanted to sit in the shade a guy came and asked us for money. The local beach bar took ownership of all the shady spots on the beach and you can't chill there unless you buy something. Overall it was really nice to sleep in nature, but as a couple who came with 2 bags and nothing else we felt we were not prepared to stay there and the place was not prepared for us.
