About this cottage rental
Perfect place for nature lovers who love alternative holidays, overlooking the lush countryside of the area. This is an old stone Turkish house refurbished with love from the same us also respect to the natural environment with all necessary for comfortable accommodation.Many different kinds of plants n' herbs growing in the area as there is a lot of water and sources.Τhe house is from Paleochora 15km from Sougia 20km n' altitude of 700 meters. You feel so far from civilization but also so close

We were glad to have rented this house which looked beautiful on the pictures; we must say that it is even nicer in reality! It is a cosy place with nooks and corners, very nice to be in.
The hosts are very nice persons, who were awaiting us on our arrival. They had stocked the kitchen with different sorts of fruit and vegetables, the basic supplies and much more were available, and they had even gotten us a fresh loaf of bread!
The valley where the house is located was cold in week 11, when we were present; the fire was burning in the woodstove when we arrived!
This valley has few dwellers and was very quiet; the view is superb, and can be enjoyed from the different terraces. It had a quieting, soothing effect on us.
The house is enclosed in a garden on different levels, which was beautiful; it is not difficult to imagine how magnificent it must be in the summer.
We already plan to return!

What a peaceful, quiet lovely house this is! Its is very comfortable, spotlessly clean, very good bed, big rainshower, washingmachine, a more then fully equiped kitchen with all kinds of homepicked and dried herbs, fresh fruits, potatoes, fresh eggs, oignons, fresh baked bread, honey and marmelade, olives, water and wine and butter in the fridge on arrival, several terraces so you can sit at three sides of the house, a hammock, beach beds, a spacious living room with a tv and cd's , wifi (not very strong), a beautiful garden full of beautiful trees and flowers.
Along with the house you get a couple of cats who are very kind (when i was there one had a little baby kitten) and a very sweet dog named , Kanella who is a very gentle and a bit of a shy soul. And there is a henhouse which is providing you with fresh eggs. Adonis came to the house every day to water the plants and to feed the animals. So you don't have to bother about that.
I was there the last three weeks of april 2018 and it was a joy and a pleasure to see all the flowers blossom. Everything was green and full of live.
In the morning I woke up with the beautiful sound of humming bees and singing birds. No cars, no noise, just nature. I loved it.
You in need a car when you rent this place. It is a 20 minute drive to Paleochora with its bars, taverna's and beaches. At about 10 minutes from the house there is a very greek cafe/ taverna in Azogires, the Alpha cafe, where you can have a drink and a simple but tasteful meal, buy home made produce like olive oil, soaps, and herbs that are picked and dried by locals also. The alphacafe is also the starting point for a beautifull walk along a river with some waterfalls to Anidri and Paleochora and a walk to a cave.
The house in located very convenient if you want to hike, You are 20 min away from Paleochora like I said but also around 30 min from Sougia where there are several beautiful walks to be made.
The somehow remote location of the house was a plus for me because of the total peace and quiet of the place.
