The location was 4km from the start of the Samarian Gorge and our host drove us to the entrance. We went for a short walk when we first got there to explore the area. Lovely scenery

Great location for the Samaria Gorge hike, room was clean, large and well equipped with extra blankets for the night.
First night I had to take a cold shower - in a cold bathroom and even colder room with freezing cold floors. The staff later told me that you need to run the water for at least 20 minutes before it gets hot.
The second night I tried again and after 20 minutes (what a waste of water) it got warmer - definitely not hot. I also had to stay in the room with my winter coat on in order to feel comfortably warm.
Last, please note that the address listed is not precise, the tavern is the first in the village, so you should stop as soon as you come in from Sougia (or the south) instead of relying on Google maps.
