As with all Scottish Youth Hostels the staff were welcoming, kitchens clean with lots of space, and in a great location for local exploring. The bedding is good and the place is generally clean.
As with all Scottish Youth Hostels the mattresses are a cheap innerspring and need replacing. They are not sagging, but bony, needing more padding

We stayed in the private cabin - it was really lovely with a beautiful setting . The staff are very helpful and friendly

Good and helpful staff
Small parking lot so don’t arrive late.
Very noisy with people talking all night in the next room.
In the family room every time someone moved on the top bunk it moved the bottom.
No hand towel provided for basin in room.
Shared bathroom facilities one toilet was putrid and the other had broken seat
