Location excellent within walking distance of ferry and bus some parking available, clean and basic like most hostels with a good kitchen to prepare meals if you want to .
Despite there being radiators on it was cold in the lounges and bedroom. Lots of stairs and toilet was on the next floor . The showers had metal bases and didn’t look very inviting so didn’t use them

I stay here a few times a year and absolutely love it. Ted is always so helpful and this time around, so was Nathaniel. The hostel is spotlessly clean and facilities excellent. Will be back again soon.

Lovely setting. Great self-catering facilities. Cheap for Arran.
It needs a good clean and redecoration as it looks tired. I suspect it gets a lot of footfall, and it looked like it did. The communal area was cold, bland, and apart from the view out the front window, it wasn't inviting at all.
