Chalet Schwalbennest

Außergewöhnliches Chalet mit fantastischen Ausblicken aufs Matterhorn von mehreren Plätzen aus (außen und innen). Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen, sehr herzliche Gastgeberin. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt!

Die Lage ist Top mit direktem Blick auf das Matterhorn. Zur Bergbahn sind es nur 10 Gehminuten. Die Haltestelle der roten Linie befindet sich in der Nähe. Sehr nette Gastgeberin.

Es sind viele Treppenstufen und relativ wenig Verstaumöglichkeiten für die Kleidung. Das ist aber kein wirkliches Manko.

The location was perfect with a magnificent views of the mountains, in particular the Matterhorn. Chalet is in a nice and quiet area. Top floor lounge area was very comfortable with views all round.

There were no mirrors in the bathroom/washbasin area. The only mirror was 200mm square, mounted 1800mm above the ground in the toilet. A normal person will need to stand on a chair to look into the mirror. There are no wardrobes, thus no storage space for your clothing. The basement bedroom had a couple of pidgeon holes in the stairwell outside the bedroom, however you need to be tall to reach them. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and pillows non existent. Light switch was in an awkward place you had to climb on the bed to reach it. There was no room on one side of the bed to walk. The upstairs bedroom was like wise up against windows on two sides, thus one person had to climb over the other. The shower area had a red blind and with the street light outside made the room glow red during the night. Kitchen had insufficient bench space to be able prepare food. There was a home made steel framed trolley with a rough timber top in the corner with pots and pans. Not what you would expect for the price. The wood heater on the top floor is built over the stair well, the door opens the wrong way thus you have to reach around it to place wood in the fire and the handle gets red hot. Also once the fire was lit there was no adjustment thus the the room became extremely hot and unbearable and you had to open the doors to cool it down. Everybody got splinters in their fingers when going up and down the stairs.
