Spotless chalet with superb Matterhorn views, perfect for relaxation with family and friends.

Chalet Altese was large, spotless and beautifully presented. The manager and hosts were very responsive, kind and helpful. The view from the lawn was stunning, with the Matterhorn centre stage from pre-dawn until sunset (when the weather was clear). The chalet is out of the hustle and bustle of the town, which was also fabulous. As a special bonus, The black nosed sheep were grazing in the paddock out the front of the house one evening. The local red bus was very handy and we used it a lot. Lovely jam, juice and milk in the fridge for our arrival was much appreciated.

Whilst it was great to be out of town, the closest shop was a 15-minute walk away. Not much the hosts can do about that of course. You have to pay CHF5 to use the washing machine, which felt a bit mean considering the nightly price is CHF500.

It was our first visit to Zermatt. The Chalet management helped us to enjoy it 100%. Whenever any question popped up about how things work in Zermatt, I had a "friend on the call" to answer that quickly and move forward.

Beautiful Appartment

Beautiful design, Immaculate clean, very spacious, modern and with unbelievable views of the Matterhorn. Nikki is a great, candid host!

It is not that conveniently located, specially in winter time. It is high up the hill. There is a bus every 25 minutes 200 mts away but stops working at 19.30 and is usually really packed. Taxis are extremely expensive, no less than 22CHF for 1.5KM.

Entspannter und erholsamer Kurztripp als 3-Generationen-Familie

Die Lage ist wunderbar ruhig mit direktem Blick auf das Matterhorn. Wanderungen und Biketouren starten direkt vor der Haustüre. Die Küche ist für Selbstverpfleger gut ausgerüstet.

In einem Schlafzimmer gibt es leider keine Vorhänge an den seitlichen Fenstern.
