About this apartment rental
Maison Tuftra is a private family home, rarely offered for rent. This 150 m² apartment, in the Tuftra–Winkelmatten area, pairs natural stone, wood and fine fabrics in a warm, elegant interior, with the Matterhorn in view from the living room, two bedrooms and two large balconies.
It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a cook's kitchen, three large balconnies ( in addition to the surface). It gives privacy and space to 7 adults.
When snow conditions allow, you can ski down almost to the house.
The space:
The heart of the apartment is the large living room, with an open view of the Matterhorn and a long dining table . The interior was created by a professional designer in a warm, traditional Alpine style.
There are four bedrooms: two doubles, one twin and one single. The master bedroom has its own bathroom and a private balcony. Of the three bathrooms, two have a bath and one has a shower. Beds are made with designer linens.
The kitchen is well appointed for those who love to cook, with Miele appliances and everything needed to prepare a proper dinner for family and friends.
A heated ski room keeps boots and equipment warm and dry overnight.
There is a selection of games, as well as a yoga mat and foam roller for stretching after a day on the slopes. There is no conventional television, but two screens are available and can be connected to your laptops for work or streaming.
The neighbourhood
Maison Tuftra sits in the quiet Tuftra–Winkelmatten area, with several restaurants nearby and a lovely playground next to the Winkelmatten chapel. When snow conditions allow, you can almost ski back to the door. The Matterhorn Express is about a 9-minute walk away, or 3 minutes away by bus. When snow conditions allow, you can even ski down to the piste from close to the chalet.
Getting around
The bus stop for the village centre and to Matterhorn-Express is 230 m from the house, about a 3-minute walk. Walking to the church square in the centre of Zermatt takes about 18 minutes (1.3 km).

Maison Tuftra is our family holiday home, cared for with love, and we share it with only a small number of guests each season. It is ideal for families and people looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay in the mountains. It is not suitable for parties or events.
