Please read carefully before booking

The place we stayed in is not suitable for rental- appartments have mold in bedrooms and kitchen - kitchen drawers including utensils are covered in mold. It is cold in rooms with temperature at 17 degrees. When asking the owner if the heating can be turned on we experienced resilience and frustration and eventually a comment that heating expensive - we went as a group and had an 18months old baby with us …(thermostat is in a utility room not accessible to guests). Kitchen is missing basic equipment- example only 3 glasses - not enough forks for 3 people - eventually we arrived for Easter weekend and were trying to enjoy family meals that we cooked beforehand at home and just heat up when in the appartment- that was challenging due to lack of basic kitchen service. Everything we asked for was met with frustration and comments about Polish guests having demand (heating being on- tea pot or water bottle to put some tap water in). We decided to ignore all that and just enjoy time with friends and family - up until Our friends were checking out and have been confronted for leaving the room at 10.05am instead of 10.00- owner went to check their room and realized that cutlery was no in its place (it was being still washed in our room - as mentioned above we did not have enough in our room). From that point on we have heard that we are disrespectful for not bringing all cutlery back into the room - that the dirt we arrived to in the kitchen is a fault of the previous guests like us that did not clean properly - as we can’t expect owner to check and clean every room after each guest 😱 we were told that the owner is disappointed with us from day two (I guess when we asked for the-heating to be put on as we also were super cold at night). The final line was to quote “there are guests we are looking forward to seeing again and there are guests that we hope to never see again - you can guess which guest you are” - all that for not taking back the cutlery?

Wonderful stay

Very friendly, personable, full of humour, very hospitable hosts. It felt like to be in the hosts' living room, sharing few days of stories and experiences. Beautiful old house, lovingly restored by passionate people. Super pet friendly! We really could not have asked for more and will definitely be back.

Peaceful - internet detox

Location was great; the gite was clean, renewed and had good conditions. Dogs are really welcomed here. There are wonderful hiking paths nearby. The farm is very beautiful and well maintained.

Internet is awful - don't expect to be able to work, let alone watch a video in here. It should be mentioned when booking as some people may foresee to work remotely from here, which is not possible at all.

Perfect short stay

We spent a long weekend in one of the studio’s and we had a very good time. We got welcomed by the host and his unique sense of humor and were later shown to our beautiful little studio with everything you need for your stay here. If you like dogs and traveling with yours, this is the best place you can come to in Somme-Leuze! Big thanks to everyone here!

Very good

Cosy refurbished farm in the middle of the Belgian Ardennes. The farm is surrounded by the nature. Dog-friendly space. When we arrived, all other guests had dogs, so it was lovely for the dogs to meet each other. Bringing a dog costs €17.50 no matter the duration of your stay. Heating was excellent. Large parking available for guests.

Wifi did not work during our stay. Also, due to the position of the farm, mobile data did not work well: it would work only for sending messages on WhatsApp, but it did not work for sending photos or videos. It is useful to keep that in mind and bring books instead of relying on watching movies online! Cleaning could be improved.

Gezellig verblijf

Gezellig verblijf tijdens de midweek waar nieuwjaar in viel. Onze hond was onmiddellijk welkom! Gezellig appartementje met alles wat je nodig hebt om zelf te koken. Vriendelijke eigenaar waar je steeds een gezellig babbeltje mee kon doen. De B en B ligt heel rustig en beneden is er een leuk riviertje waar je met de hond kan gaan wandelen.

De ligging is toch wat verder van de echte bossen, daarnaast kun je de verwarming in het appartement niet zelf bedienen. Het mag ook wat schoner.

Fijne plek om tot rust te komen en even niets te "moeten".

Prachtige en rustige locatie, wat afgelegen, maar daar waren we naar op zoek. Fijne en vriendelijke uitbaters. Een lekker ontbijt: warme broodjes, lekkere koffie, fruitsap, vers gebakken eitje en voor ons voldoende keuze in beleg. Het fijne contact en babbeltje met andere gasten. Het zelfbedieningssysteem in de bar met een grote keuze aan biertjes om 's avonds na te genieten op het terras. Zeer diervriendelijk. Fijn dat de hond los mocht lopen op de binnenplaats en zich even kon uitleven met de andere honden. Dit werd, mede door de uitbater en door de hondeneigenaars, goed bewaakt en begrensd, zodat het rustig kon verlopen en andere gasten ook van hun rust konden genieten. Daar wij op een verdiep zaten, heeft onze hond er trappen leren kennen en hebben de eigenaars daar mee energie in gestopt tot hij het kon (weegt 47 kg, dus niet even op te tillen, hé). Samengevat: een fijne plek om te ontstressen, te onthaasten en even niets te moeten!

Om iets kleins op te merken: zelf misten we wat vers fruit bij het ontbijt. Spijtig dat sommige gasten 's nachts te weinig rekening houden met andere vakantiegangers en lawaai maken. Wij hadden de 2e nacht echt hinder van onze bovenburen.

Mooie accomodatie, service kan beter.

Appartement was stijlvol, grote keuken met veel servies, fijne pannen en goede apparatuur, prima badkamer, apart toilet, 2 gezellige slaapkamers, fijne bedden, sfeervol ingericht. Authentieke elementen bewaard, goed gedaan. Buitenruimte was mooi, goed afgesloten voor de honden, voldoende zit- en ligplekken (hangmat). Fijn publiek.

Ik had verwacht dat het begane grond was. We moesten echter trap op. Deze opgang werd gedeeld met ander appartement en ontbijtruimte en is gedurende ons verblijf niet schoongehouden. Het is best wel gehorig ook. Gelukkig bijna alle avonden rustig. Ik vond het niet echt schoon in het appartement. We hebben zelf de stofzuiger gepakt. Geen dweil kunnen vinden. Er is geen opbergruimte in de slaapkamer. Een tip: een handboek zou toch echt handig zijn. Daarin zou je kunnen lezen dat het opladen van de auto wordt berekend voor de duur dat de auto verbonden is en niet tot percentage is behaald. (Dit gaf ons extra kosten). Of hoe de zonneschermen werken, (kwamen we bij toeval achter). Verder misten we wat eenvoudige zaken zoals pollepel, opscheplepel, stoffer, blik, bezem. Er is geen handzeep of toiletreiniger aanwezig. Door de puntjes op de i te zetten, zou de prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding beter zijn. Aan de irritante piep van brandalarm werd helaas niets gedaan, ook niet na melding.

Een heerlijk verblijf op een prachtige locatie

De ontvangst door de erg vriendelijke en behulpzame uitbaters Pierre en Britt was perfect, beiden doen er werkelijk alles aan om het hun gasten naar hun zin te maken. Ook het uitgebreide ontbijt met ondermeer à la minute bereide eitjes is heerlijk. Dit alles gesitueerd in een prachtig gerestaureerde hoeve maakt dat wij fan zijn (ook onze hond Castor ) en zeker terugkeren naar dit fijne adres.

Excellent séjour.... à refaire

Nous avons vraiment aimé l'accueil et la disponibilité des Patrons ainsi que leur souplesse pour résoudre des problèmes dont ils n'étaient pas responsables. La localisation est parfaite: en bord de forêt pour qui aime les promenades à pieds et à quelques kilomètres de Durbuy pour qui préfère flâner dans les rues de cette charmante petite ville. Et le petit déjeuner était généreux et.... agréable.

Les seules difficultés sont de mon fait; je suis une PMR, je n'ai pas fait suffisamment attention à la "géographie" des lieux lorsque j'ai réservé et je n'ai pas prévenu.
