The hotel was very nice, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, breakfast was good and there was a good choice. The location of the hotel was excellent and close to all the amenities and only a 10 minute walk from the train station.

Was a nice property with good staff. Downstairs & restaurant area good. Breakfast was good. Pleasant outside seating area.

Room wasn’t very clean. The carpet didn’t look like it had been vacuumed, false nails on floor. Shower grubby & a horrible brown stain down the front of the toilet pan.

I was really surprised when I saw how close everything was to hotel breakfast was excellent and the staff were very polite and friendly I would recommend this hotel

We got put in room 29 on ground floor As soon as we entered we seem to get a strong smell of wet dogs. Or a damp smell . The shower was better than the other rooms but the the bed was so hard and could not get to sleep most of the night. We will definatly be going back but not in room 29

Bedroom a bit shabby and small. But was clean not the luxury room advertised also not the pictures on site.

Great location within walking distance of esplanade. On site care parking at rear. Very efficient breakfast service. Comfortable beds. Quiet at night. Very helpful and friendly staff. You will never be short of a fish and chip shop in the area. Lovely beach, though the tide goes out a long way. Modern leisure centre at the end of the prom. Stair carpet needs replacing.

There is no lunch or dinner service - and the pubs in the area didn't serve meals. You need to drive out to find one that does.

Staff were all pleasant and friendly. However the room was extremely small and very grubby. Parts of the room looked like they hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner for a while the window sill wasn't the cleanest. If I'm totally honest we were expecting a bigger room for two adults and two children. The room was small and very basic . The evening was awful it was extremely hot well over 30C and no cooling facilities. The breakfast staff were very helpful and very efficient when serving the food. And the choices were fine. The quality of food was acceptable and quiet filling for our small appetites.

Very convenient for the town, beach and parking. The beds were clean and the hotel is in a quiet area.

Stayed here a few years ago and it was lovely. No longer do an evening meal, which is a shame as it was very good. There was a strong unpleasant smell when we entered the hotel that was off putting. The bathroom was not clean, the walls and floor need a good scrubbing, and the soap holder in the shower needs throwing away. Sleeping on a plastic backed mattress protector in this heat was uncomfortable, and the crackling made turning over noisy. People upstairs seemed to be clog dance professionals but that’s not the fault of the hotel.

The hotel is really lovely and inviting inside as you walked in very smartly decked out. All the staff are very friendly polite happy and extremely helpful. Kate who never stopped all day, and Sam on reception, Lyndsey serving breakfast. Clive the lovely Chef cooking the yummy breakfast, Di and Mandy housekeeping. Nothing was too much trouble regarding everything, and everyone, all smiles. We had our little dog Pearl with us and she was fussed and treated very well by all the staff. Our room was ground floor due to our disability needs, and it was a fantastic room. Our car was parked right outside our window, on the back car park, bonus. Breakfast was stunning cooked to perfection and plenty of options served to you at your table. Outside there are several seats and tables to just relax have a tea or a beer. We did that one morning after breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed just chilling, it's on a nice quiet side road and a few yards at the end is the seafront. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The only small thing we didn't like was our wooden floor in the room was quite dirty. We checked into our ground floor room we needed due to mobility issues. We took our shoes off and walked up and down unpacking. I realised then my feet were black and dusty so we kept our slippers on. The beds were quite hard but everyone is different in the likes of a mattress. Everything else about the room was brilliant.

Standard breakfast was a little small for me, but I am a big breakfast kinda chap,so I had the large breakfast and that was great 👍

Had an issue with tv volume and parking

The staff were very friendly and professional and we were made to feel very welcome. The room was fine and, amazingly, the central heating worked! It went a little cool in the evening and despite it being 'summer' the heating came on. Lots of hot water, too. Breakfast was fine - waitress service at your table with plenty of choice. There is a bar and a lounge, as well. Ideally situated near the promenade.

Having parking at the rear of the hotel was a real result. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating, they moved our rooms around so our family could have 2 rooms next to each other. The breakfast was lovely with an old school chief who popped out the kitchen to check everything was ok. Nice little seating area out the front to enjoy the evening sunshine. Very clean and tidy with loads of curiosities to check out. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I can't understand why anyone would give this establishment a bad review.

Bar and dining room we're nice and clean ,short 1 night stay.tea and coffee in room 👌 .

The advert says Beach front ,which it is not it's on a side street .Parking is on the street ,we got there early so there was 1 space left otherwise we would have had to find car park.The advert also said toiletries so I did not take shampoo ect ,there is one dispenser in shower of shower gel ,had soap on sink and 1 toilet roll .Shower looked mouldy all over ,carpet did not feel clean ,very small room.Payed for Breakfast for £9 it was very basic .Wouldn't stay again £145 with breakfast ,very misleading. Also smelt of cannabis.

Just a few minutes walk away from the beachfront. Bedroom was clean, the bed comfortable and a complementary electric fan helped during the brief heatwave. The cooked breakfast was tasty and well-cooked.

There was no fruit available at breakfast - a few apples, bananas, etc in a bowl, would have been preferable.
