This is my 4th time and I'll come back again

In general, I like this hotel a lot. I like the traditional style and the home-y vibe. The food is absolutely fabulous. Prices are really okay for what you get. The most magical thing about the spot is the location - there's something about it that is so charming and calming! They have really cute dogs and meadow where you can play with them or your friends and the sports balls they have. You can also go horse riding, walking to the nearby village, go to the cave, or take a 4x4 jeep tour which is highly recommended and worth it. I don't know why it has only one star when it feels quite authentic and nice and the food is 10/10 - perhaps because it's smaller and they have limited rooms.

It's no secret that the mountains in Bulgaria can get really cold at night, even in June. Understandably, there was no central heating. But the room was quite cold at night and when I asked for a heater, I was mocked and told off that it's "June and I should have prepared". What put me off was the reaction of the owner. If I'm cold, I'm cold - no matter the month. They told me they didn't have small heaters for the room which they probably should have and they also shouldn't have reacted with such a mocking tone if the comfort of their guest is their priority. It's still a great place and I would come back but from the perspective of a guest, if I say something is making me uncomfortable it shouldn't be questioned or mocked... whether they can resolve it or not is a different topic. So perhaps bring your own small heater unless you are coming in August. They do have solid blankets though so in the end it was fine - it was just the reaction...

What I liked the most was the incredible location with its beautiful view! The staff was friendly and caring, they gave us ideas what to do and were available 24/7.

Exceptional

Small hotel in authentic Bulgarian style. There are opportunities for walks, horse riding and more. The food is simply more than delicious. Everything is made on the spot. And the home made breakfast take you back to the childhood. The staff is just superb, making you feel part of a big family. Whatever we needed, they were always helpful . Of course I have to mention the good company of the cat Leizo, which make the stay even more cozy. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return.

Very cosy small hotel with authentic decor perfect for get away if you like mountains and nature, hiking, horse riding and fishing. Excellent hospitality, great home made food. Nice indoor and outdoor dining areas. Very clean and cosy room. Beautiful mountain view from room, very quiet. Parking on the site. Great host Drago and very nice staff, very polite and helpful young gentleman Martin. We would highly recommend this place and if we will come to Trigrad definitely will stay again!

terrible owner ruined the stay

it would have been a decent stay, but we booked a suite, and first the owner insisted we booked a two single bed room, until he realised he had had made a mistake. the only room left to give us was a three bed room which was NOT what we booked, but he still insisted we pay the price for the suite when we checked out.

sadly the owner making us pay the suite price for a worse room than we booked overshadowed the positives

Amazing stay with good food and stunning view.

The location and the surrounding view are stunning. we had our dinner and breakfast there, it was delicious and homemade.

we booked the deluxe apartment as we expected to have a balcony and a nice view, unfortunately we did not have one. the deluxe apartment is not what we expected.

Very nice location

This hotel is perfect if you want a location exactly in the woods. It is very near to an amazing horse training center . The silence is really amazing

Great and relaxing place, a hidden gem in the mountain village.

Very clean and specious rooms, with lots of natural light! Great and calm space, restaurant food was good and includes breakfast was great.

Road / access to the hotel is tricky. Be aware there are cats living there (not a problem for me, but for anyone that may be allergic). There are lots of flies (potentially because of nearby horse riding base).

Exceptional

Everything was amazing. The location is exceptionally beautiful, the hotel itself is extremely clean and comfortable. The triple room is very big, has a couch and table as well as the three beds. The terrace is also big enough to fit 3 people with no problem. Overall the room was perfect. The restaurant offers one of the best dishes I have tried, don’t miss out on the homemade strawberry rakia and kashkaval cheese. The staff were incredible. Very friendly, they make you feel comfortable and at home all the time. Overall it was an amazing experience, I will definitely go back very soon and couldn’t recommend more!

מקום נחמד מאוד להתבודדות. בעלי המקום עדיבים. טבע יפה מסביב. הבעיה היא חדר מקלחת ושירותים מאוד קטן (אין שום הפרדה בין מקלחון ושירותים, הכל נרטב). לשימחתינו היה אפשר לשדרג לחדר משודרג (יקר יותר, אבל אפשר להיתקלח בחופשיות).
