Hotel Dimar

Clean, location, staffing ,parking

We stayed in a Double Room with Terrace for 2 nights. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. There is a lounge / sitting room as you first walk in and it was a great place for keeping our large suitcases. Sometimes we find hotel rooms in Spain can be smallish and there is not enough places for 2 suitcases, but this was great. The bathroom was also spacious and there were 2 showers, one over the bath and one in a boxed in cubicle as you first walk in the bathroom. The balcony is also quite spacious and has a little table and 2 chairs for sitting out. The carpark for the hotel is in a public underground carpark right beside the hotel entrance so that is handy. (have to pay for carpark, but hotel discounts the price) Breakfast was good, typical Spanish style breakfast. Valencia is so big and it was quite a walk to the Old Town (maybe a couple of kilometres) and about 1 kilometre to the City of Arts & Sciences in the opposite direction. Lots of cafes, restaurants and shops nearby, so I think it was a pretty good location. We would stay there again if visiting Valencia.

The breakfast was pretty good, but I think it's overpriced for what you get. The beds were comfortable.

I did not like that when I searched for a room, I looked for 1 room 2 people, however, when I arrived at the hotel they said we only paid for breakfast for one person and made us pay $30/day for the additional person. This felt like some sort of scam to get more money.

Nice size rooms and clean

The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. On check in they told us there was no room in our name which there clearly was. After half hour was given a wrong room and no apology. At any time we spoke to reception staff they were so rude
