The hotel was very close to everything, which made moving around very easy. It was also very clean and well organized. The staff were very polite, friendly, and always helpful. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and I would recommend it.

Everything about the hotel was superb. The location, of course. The breakfast was excellent and catered for my gluten & dairy free partner admirably. The room was far larger than expected (from the photos, not doing the room justice). Comfortable bed, quiet neighbourhood and all the room facilities were great and made use of. The lounge and bar areas were nice and we made use of it late one evening on arriving back from a show. The staff were helpful and nothing was a problem. Highly recommended. Would return 100%.
Maybe not having a lift, but that was clearly being fitted, so will be ready soon/next time.

The hotel is located in Venice in a historic building, which gives it a certain charm. The room itself was acceptable for a short stay and the price was relatively reasonable compared to other options in the city. We also appreciated that the staff offered to carry our luggage upstairs.
To begin with, we were attracted by the high-quality photos showing elegant rooms and luxurious décor. Unfortunately, the actual experience did not fully match that presentation. I am not saying the hotel is horrible, but it is noticeably different from what is shown online.
One important detail that was not mentioned in the Booking.com description is that the hotel does not have an elevator. While this was not a major problem for us, it is relevant information for many travelers, especially in a multi-floor building.
At reception, one staff member asked to photocopy both sides of my ID, explaining it would save time. I declined due to privacy concerns. This was a personal decision, not an accusation, but worth mentioning.
The room itself had several disappointing details. The windows had no view at all (I did not expect a canal view, which I understand is a premium category — simply a view of any kind). The bed had no duvet, only an old-style blanket covered with a thin sheet, which felt uncomfortable.
The bathroom was another issue. Before the bathtub was even filled to the maximum level, water leaked from underneath it onto the bathroom floor. While there was a floor drain, water should not be escaping from under the tub in the first place.
Breakfast was very average. Based on what was available at the time we entered the breakfast room, we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. This is, of course, a subjective impression, but it did not meet our expectations.
Overall, while the hotel was not extremely expensive, had we known what the rooms and facilities really looked like compared to the photos and description, we would have chosen a different place. This review reflects our genuine personal experience and is intended to help future travelers make an informed decision.
