Hostess (Micheala) was the most organized person we have ever met. Warm and charming while providing lots of excellent guidance. This property is more like renting a home than an apartment. Very spacious. Brand new 4K TV with full satellite service. Very close to Mittenwald's Bahnhof; walkable (we walked in the rain with our baggage with no problem). Micheala's husband and sons are electricians and this home shows it. Wall switches everywhere you want one. Electric outlets everywhere also; no shortage. Kitchen is equipped like a Martha Stewart kitchen; best of everything in terms of appliances, dishes, pots and pans, silverware, etc. Very quiet residential neighborhood. Daily bread service was available (we chose to not use it). Availability of onsite beverages was a very welcome amenity (we are now hooked on Orangen Limonade!). The oak flooring is the densest and darkest oak wood we have ever seen. The joinery everywhere (especially the wooden staircase) is master level. We enjoyed our 6 day visit immensely and felt like we were at home. Decorated faithfully in the Trachten motif; very tasteful. Rear doors open onto spacious shared backyard. Good cross ventilation of mountain air using tilting windows and doors. Beds were good with firm mattresses and comfortable duvets; we also used the provided blankets on colder evenings. There is a seperate temperature control for each and every room! The available washer and dryer were a welcome opportunity to catch up on laundry after our prior three weeks of travel. We also got to meet Micheala's husband and two of her sons and they are all wonderful people. One block from the Isar River. Very easy to find. Off street, on site parking available (we did not have a car for this portion of our trip). Close to the Rewe grocery store and the Mittenwald brewery (again, no problem to shop at Rewe and then walk back with a bag of groceries). Also close to Obermarkt Mittenwald and the church.

There was nothing that we did not like. This is one of the two finest properties at which we have stayed during our 20 years of European travel (the other was a palace in Malaga).
