Wonderful little cottage with everything you need.

Friendly host. Lovely welcome pack and goodies. Quiet location with a secure garden for the dog. Wonderful log fire, well stocked with plenty of logs. Everything provided for a long weekend break. Definitely well worth visiting.

Everything. Wwe have been back several times and plan to return in the future. Neil is a wonderful host and has geat knowledge of the area.

Superb

The house was ideal for our needs. The starter pack of items provided by the host, meant we were set when we arrived. The host recommended the hotel next door for dinner (open Thur-Sun) and advised booking. Dinner was very nice- Tapas.

Glorious Glentrool getaway

Neil was a fabulous host, he was very helpful and provided us with lots of local information and even left us a welcome pack for our arrival. The facilities were great value for money and well kept. The garden was fully enclosed so our dog was able to explore the facilities without any worry of her getting out and the hot tub was a nice cherry on top. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this accommodation to others.

Excellent Neil the owner was very helpful left a nice breakfast and also come to see to make sure everything was fine when there we had to go vets because of the dog only stayed ,3 nights. Home because of dog on vaccines home Wednesday just lovely there all you need

The location was perfect. the hot tub was great. Watching bird life was great.

the cottage could have been cleaner. It smelt of damp had mould behind the bed. the shower leaked. the cooker was dirty and very old could do with replacing.

Perfect for two

Loved the stove. Loved the hot tub. The bed was comfy. The cottage had a lovely cozy feel.

The only slightly negative was the workspace in the kitchen was a little limited. I'm a messy chef and use every surface possible!

Would heartily recommend to a friend. Great location for a walking holiday.

The host was very welcoming and helpful. The cottage had lots of personal touches like local books and details of walks. Lots of additional food items in the cupboards and the fridge was unexpectedly full of food to make a great breakfast 😃saving us a visit back to Newton Stewart. We also really appreciated the little stove which made things very homely in the evenings and was easy to look after.

My sister and I liked everything. However the cottage is simply furnished and good value don’t expect high end luxury. Although we were spoilt with the glorious electric blanket!
