Really lovely, cosy caravan, perfect for families.

We stayed at this caravan for 2 nights, off season. Nothing in the park was open but we contacted the pony trekking which is attached to the site and they were incredibly helpful and arranged for the children to do a pony trek midweek, which was really nice of them and thoroughly enjoyed. The caravan itself was lovely - warm, cosy and really comfortable.

It would have been nice to have some sharp knives for cooking and the oven didn't seem to be getting up to temperature, but nothing insurmountable.

The tea and coffee was a nice surprise. Caravan was very clean and nice and warm for us on arrival. Kids loved the swimming and soft play. The restaurant was great good value for money.

We visited off season so not all activities available will return during summer months and try the water sports and horse tracking

Very clean and had everything you needed. Plenty of games and tv and WiFi was good.

The facilities on site were disappointing due to the condition of them. Unsure if this was because the end of season was approaching and a bit of neglect of the place has occurred. The swimming pool was very unclean as well as the play area. It’s a such a shame the park isn’t up to a standard it could be as the caravan was perfect and the park could really be a great wee place.

Enough parking for 2 cars, plenty space to sleep everyone, beds were comfortable, WiFi connection was great. Water temperature was also great. Caravan as a whole was spotless and the beds being made up was a nice bonus.

A perfect place for peace !

This is one off the most beautiful places I have stayed for fishing walking relaxing.the caravan was perfect the heating was on for us arriving and the place was spotless.there was everything you needed right down to a tea towel. The sun sets right out your window and rises right on top off the beautiful lochs. The price for our stay was really worth the money and I would recommend this we stay number 66 to everyone. The owner kept us updated on our stay and was only a phonecall away and politely told us everything we asked about things to do and prices.alsi if you rent you can fish for free which was class.the loch is filled with fish and I caught the biggest pike I've ever seen....inreall we break and an 100% perfect stay,,Robbie&Rosie.

The location is very remote which was great if you would like to switch off. The waterpark the kids loved it, little advise this will cost £20 per person for an hour. WiFi for the kids was a bonus.

Were do I start, after travelling for 3 hours with three kids in the car. We arrived to the caravan, to see a bag of rubbish outside the door, when opening the door you had a smell of old and musty, dishes in the drying tray, no beds made looking closer they were still from a previous stay, food on the floor, showers and toilets not cleaned. Phoned the owner to find out what is happening. The owner explained he was going to find out from the cleaning team what has happened. After 30min had no response, phoned back again he stated he was driving and sent messages to the cleaning team. After an hour has call to explain they got the dates mixed up and was on there way. 1hr later they arrived and apologised, during this time we were looking for somewhere else to stay but due to the location nothing was available. Reported it to booking.com but they were not much help. During our stay the TV did not work, stand alone toilet missing flush button, vents all dirty, curtains mouldy in lounge, all plates and pots dirty had to rewash them before using. Roof panel coming loose, stairs into the caravan dangers. Looking back at the reviews this is not the first time these issues have been raised. From the resort activity you need to pay for most, swimming pool £2.50 per person, would not recommend it, algae everywhere and very dirty. Walked straight out but did not want to disappoint the kids as they were looking forward to it. If I could of left I would have bit was not driving for another hour to a new location with kids getting hungry.

It was bright & comfortable. Had everything you would need for a self catering holiday. It is within well kept grounds in a beautiful area and is extremely peaceful.

The TV/Sky service did not work at all due to the internet connection. There was no signal the whole time of our stay. The guest WiFi was non existent and we had no way of communicating with anyone as a result. Ideal if you wish to disappear and enjoy peace and quiet. Not so good for us. The only place we could connect to the the guest WiFi was within the Bar. Even then, the signal would come and go. The whole park was deserted. The staff and activity organisers were even talking about how quiet it was. We booked activities for our boys every day. They lasted for 1 hour (costing approx £80) once that was done there wasn’t much else for them to do (other than walk or pay for another activity) The indoor pool was dated and really dirty. It also cost extra and had terrible changing facilities. We drove every day into Newton Stewart & also purchased DVDs, board games and cards) from charity shops (which we left for future guests) so we could at least have something to do together in the evenings.

Lovely quiet comfortable caravan stay

Very comfortable, spacious and well equipped, very nice to be able to take our dog with us. Nice relaxed space and quiet surroundings, watching the family of rabbits through the window in the evening was a treat.

We couldn’t get the tv or WiFi to work which seemed to be out of range at the caravan, and the midges were really everywhere

The site had water off during 14-18th April and we didn’t know as only small sign in bar which we found day we left, so we didn’t understand why caravan toilet and water was not working. It’s also not fair on the caravan owner as could have caused drainage issues. Also the sky TV/ sky box wasn’t working, no bulb in lamp, no blind in kitchen. But regardless the caravan standard was nice and clean and as above the host was good. P.S booking.com didn’t send us the key code to get in so we had to ring the host, I am pleased we didn’t arrive late and have this issue in the dark. Again not fair on the host the the stay was enjoyable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay...what an amazing caravan site!! The park season is just beginning and I'm sure they will offer a lot when fully opened but for my husband and myself we wanted to relax and walk the dog 🐕 that was enough for us ! The only thing I'd say is the stairs going up were a bit wobbly and as they're not fixed down could be a little precarious. The caravan had everything we needed and we would certainly go back!!

The location was great and very peaceful. Local people and staff were friendly. The cavaran was very clean. We loved to do golf and water sport. We have got a great time. Fantastic summer holiday.

The property was excellent, even had fairy sponge, toilet roll etc which was a lovely touch! Very clean caravan! Could have done with more tv channels but we managed. Facilities was not good… Horse ridding and water sports was good and receptionist very helpful. Accommodation I would say 9/10 but could do with Wi-Fi and a few more tv channels.

Pool was very dirty, park was falling apart and the arcades and play area was trashed. Also was very under staffed. Ate in the on-site pub and wasn’t good for money and staff too tired to remember things asked for.

Only didn't give 10/10 because the up front info was misleading - the advert said that the site had an indoor swimming pool and onsite bar/restaurant - however these were shut as February is out of season. It wasn't the end of the world to us but we'd packed trunks etc as it was my sons birthday weekend so were looking forward to a swim and a few beers in the bar!

On site resteraunt was good.

On arrival at the caravan it was clear no cleaning had taken place. The living area had grass everywhere and the kitchen was covered in crumbs and mess. No new sheets were provided and the ones messily left behind had stains (animal paw prints and blood). After 3 hours cleaning the place we disovered an extra special suprise in the half bathroom. The park itself was average at best. The pool didn't appear well maintained and didn't have proper bathroom/changing facilities. Some back and forth with the van owner and park manager got us fresh bedding on day 2, with both blaming the issue of the place not being cleaned on the other. The van owner has however provided proof of notifying the park of the booking. The van itself was fine after cleaning but I wouldn't recommend or return myself.
