Compared to other hostels that are freezing, at Halpin house the heating was working and the room was nice and warm. Very spacious room with no bunk beds which is rare in hostels. The shower was super clean and so was the kitchen. The location is excellent and in a very safe neighbourhood with many food stores, restaurants and museums nearby
It's not a real hostel but a place for long term living, so don't expect to meet people like in other hostels. In the room I was in, there were older women who had a lot of clutter as they'd lived there for years. But just for a few nights it's fine
