    The location was perfect for getting around easily, and the spacious rooms combined with clean bathrooms and reliable hot water made the stay very comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Facilities were well-maintained and convenient, enhancing overall value for money.

    Cromwell Hotel is located centrally and close to Gloucester Rd underground, facilities and transport nearby and if you are after a slightly modernised hotel then you'll be happy. The staff were great and accommodating - we arrived having booked a twin, however they said on arrival they didn't have one set up, and after the renovations it wasn't standard for them which raised an eyebrow (perhaps I misunderstood?). In any case, they arranged housekeeping to split the beds and took our suitcase up to the room. Just as well as we ended going up the wrong stairwell to the wrong level as this building has split levels, which are accessible at only one end of the building depending where your room was. E.g. our room was 312 but was located between Levels 2 and 3 🤔 The room was clean and appeared recently renovated however was quite small. That would be fine considering we weren't after a suite but the clutter of unnecessary furniture took space that could have been used for suitcases. Some simplifying there would be good. The beds are on wooden bases - not slats or ensembles; they appeared to be bench like MDF which impacted the comfort of the mattresses and sleep. The mattresses are good in their own right, but the bases aren't great. Bathroom was in good condition, though the shower did spray water over the top of the partition and some silicone at the shower base needs replacing. Housekeeping was done daily which was great for us and kudos to them for doing what they do around the mess of two travellers in a tiny room. Not sure I would stay again, but it was reasonable for what we paid, and I can't fault the staff at all. Just some minor improvements and it would be great 😊

    The staff were very nice but not helpful, they couldn't lend me an adapter nor tell me where to buy one. Elevator only goes partway up, and its awkward to maneouver the stairs with luggage. My room was very barebones despitr being "Superior."
