The Park Hotel Victoria

I staid here with my girlfriend spontaneously while we were in London for a break. Upon check in the lady at reception had really strong Indian accent and couldn’t really speak English or was reluctant to do so. She said she upgraded my room which is a debatable. The room was average size but cramped and hard to move about. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and pillows, I presumed the sheets and bedding was clean but time I left, I noticed the sheets had stained blood and make-up in places. The shower was very difficult to adjust for adequate heat and pressure and can be very dangerous with the fear of third-degree burns, not much pressure either, extractor fan was missing or did not work and had to keep the bathroom door shut so the room did not fill with steam or become humid . Flaking paint in parts of the cealing in the bathroom , but no damp or black mould. Toilet was clean and the floors. Carpets of the room look clean but I think this is only done if they have to. The lights on the ceiling hum when they are on and is intrusive. Other rooms are very close and anyone watching tv or on their phone comes blaring through the walls. Window to the room is in desperate need of replacement and broken hinges, late at night the outside street from 6pm until 2am is extremely nosey with people and racing cars, so if you don’t have the loud television or phone calls coming through the walls, prepare for the loud road and street outside if your room is at the front of the hotel, make sure you have ear plugs. Every hotel room loudly shuts and disturbs other guests. This hotel room is not worth the fee I paid, at most £50-60 for the night even on peak day prices. The street the hotel is on even that it’s very close to Westminster and Victoria train station feels stretchy and unsafe and too many questionable young men lurking about and looking for trouble. Upon check out the lady at the reception ask me how my stay was but she was so surprised how many issues were with the room. She said she would pass the feedback onto the manager, but I don’t think she will or the essential and important changes will be done, I wouldn’t be surprised if she was actually the owner!

Perfect location.

Arrived at night so our day initially started the following day with stained sheets. I went to reception to request 2 topsheets to put on top of the bed as it was stained. I am not picky so I just wanted new sheets to put over sleep on. They said they will changed everything and I declined and as well as the room cleaning. The lady said do not worry we have very good and honest staff, I don't need much and I declined again but I got 2 top sheets so I'm happy with that. The following day there was no one at the reception before I left so I just went to send a message online thru my booking because that is where they contacted me before. My request is to not clean the room so no one enters but when I got back they still cleaned the room. Well, the third day I have no belt to match my outfit as it is missing. It's not super fancy but it's my favorite, on sale for $500 ferragamo belt I got 10 years ago. So, just lock up everything when you go here and don't believe the staff. Why would they point out they have good and honest staff, even though I requested no cleaning. On checkout I let them know it's missing and if they find it to please contact me. They said ok.
