Catbells Cottage Keswick

Neat, clean and tidy, close to shops and the centre of Keswick. Very comfortable and cosy. Heading was great. We lost a diamond earring on the last morning and only realised later. The cleaner found it and they organised to send it back to us via mail. Wonderful friendly staff and great service.

The parking was only for small cars - an SUV won’t fit - so we had to park in surrounding streets. You need to be physically able to go up and down steep stairs as the main bedroom was two floors up a quite narrow staircase. There was no tea or coffee provided. We had to strip the beds and pack our dirty linen into bags - we didn’t mind doing this, but we have never been asked to do this ever before in the past at any air B’n’B we’ve booked.

The location in the centre of Keswick was excellent, with the Fells, bus station and train station only a few minutes walk away. The cottage has a passing spo directly behind, which we found ideal, but if the other two cottages had been occupied, then parking would require a little bit of skilful manouver and patience. Personally, I couldn't fault anything, happy days.

Maybe I'm easily pleased, but our stay was most enjoyable and just the ticket to make every day a smiley day, even when it did rain. 😃 😊

Handy location, very close to town centre. Busy road outside house which made it very noisy in the front room and bedroom.

Many cobwebs on some property surfaces.

Nothing. There was rubbish at the front door. There wasn’t so much as a single teabag when we arrived.

Nobody told me the code to get the key from the box. It took me 2 hours to get it. The emergency contact person didn’t answer his phone. The parking space is extremely narrow. I crashed my car getting in.
