This second floor corner apartment makes the most of the beautiful views of the fells from three aspects. In the heart of Keswick town, perfectly placed to also to enjoy walks in the Lake District.. 30 steps to entrance.

Kitchen: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine
Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed
Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds
Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack.. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Hindscarth is a second-floor apartment which has been refurbished in Nov 2025. The second bedroom has been enlarged and Hindscarth now hosts four guests. It is light and airy with beautiful views across the town to the fells from three sides. At least 15 Wainwrights are visible including Catbells, Grisedale Pike, and Skiddaw. The apartment has an air of calm and tranquillity - perhaps because of the views. Hindscarth is situated just off the main street and only minutes’ walk from the town centre with its abundance of restaurants, tea rooms, pubs and shops. With its convenient private parking space next to the building entrance what more could you ask for in this bustling and thriving lakes town. A 10-minute stroll takes you to Hope Park on the shores of beautiful Lake Derwentwater, or Fitz Park 10 minutes’ walk across the Greta has a children’s playground. Shops (Booths, Coop) are 2 minutes’ walk. Keswick nestles between imposing Skiddaw and the beautiful Derwentwater and is well known as one of the main centres of outdoor activities in the UK. For those who like that adrenalin rush or the peace of the hills, this is the perfect spot.

Hindscarth is clean and comfortable in a very convenient spot close to the centre of Keswick. Kitchen equipment could be a bit more comprehensive but it's adequate. I'm an early riser but if you aren't then the noise from early morning deliveries at the supermarket in the next building may be an issue for you. During past stays broadband speed was good but it seems to have been downgraded to just above 1mb and of no use for the advertised Netflix streaming. I reported this to the local office the day after I arrived but I heard nothing further and the speed did not improve so I assume this is due to a change to a slower service rather than a fault, but it could just be poor communication from the office. I like Hindscarth, hence several previous stays, but I'll be looking elsewhere in future.

Right on the doorstep of everything you need, co-op next door for bread and milk, plenty of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment was very clean and had everything you would need like washing machine, tv, fridge and was very warm, can recommend this apartment, and don’t let it being on the 3rd floor put you off unless you are elderly.

Loved the place. We go every year to Keswick and have done for years. This venue was as good as it gets. Could do with more kitchen equipment but, other than that, brilliant. We'll be back...
