Keswick Lake Road Apartments

The location was perfect for a few relaxing days away. Shops, pubs, bars, and restaurants all within a stone's throw of the apartment door! I did worry about noise from the street below but it was very quiet at night. The apartment was spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and a well-appointed kitchen if you needed to use it. We opted to eat out for all meals but it was nice to have a fridge for milk. Derwent Water is close by and if you fancy a step back in time, the Retro Museum (opposite the pencil museum) is well worth a visit. The lounge and bedroom both had a decent sized TV that was placed sensibly - not too high like you often get.

I'm being really picky here as the place is fab, but we could have done with a couple of hooks in the bathroom for towels (the radiator wasn't really big enough for 2 towels), and the shower was quite small given how huge the bathroom was. I would have liked bigger mugs for my morning tea too as one gulp and they were empty.

Instructions were a little confusing.

location is great, apartment is lovely. views in both directions, apartment has a kitchen, dining table and living space which is very comfortable, wish i could have stayed longer. for those traveling on the cumbria way walk or coast-to-coast walk, and you want to use a luggage service, since this is a private property, it's not possible to have your bags dropped at the property, but you can use keswick laundry services for a minimal fee.

host didn't see correspondence and messages through the booking.com app and no one answered the phone number on the confirmation email. it seems the host will look into this glitch and correct it. otherwise place is lovely and would highly recommend.
