Always a pleasure to stay at this beautiful hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and it has an awesome feeling of a home away from home.
I didn’t like that it was wedding season and very loud music till after 12, when we had an early check out.
I also really think they should consider having another guest loo closer to the reception and dining room.

This is an interesting hotel - it feels like it is stuck in another time. We found its old fashioned charm interesting but I would not say it was the most comfortable hotel we have ever stayed in in Jaipur. The gardens around the hotel give a feeling of space in this chaotic city and the huge rooms are old fashioned and characterful.
It was very cold in Jaipur and we found we could not warm up the vast room. The bathroom was freezing. I am sure it would be a relief in the heat of the Indian summers.

We loved our garden suite, it is so beautiful, and we didn’t expect it to be huge size, and everything was meticulously decorated. Staff are very nice and ready to help. Breakfast wasnt par with other 5 star hotels, there are very few items. But staff at breakfast are good.
Its a 5 star heritage hotel, atleast have a decent hair dryer, I don’t know it could be from 80s or 90s, it is mounted to wall and just on button nothing else, average hair dryer costs 2000 rs, its not hard to replace.
Food in the restaurant isn’t good.

Narain Niwas Palace Hotel is one of those rare places that understands a difficult balance: how to evolve without erasing its soul.
The hotel has clearly invested in upgrading rooms to enhance comfort, ensuring modern expectations around space, amenities, and ease are met. Yet, these improvements feel considered rather than intrusive. The palace’s original character, its proportions, textures, and old-world charm, remain intact. Nothing feels over-polished or stripped of history, which is precisely what makes the stay special.
What truly elevates the experience, however, is the people. Several members of the staff have been with the property for over two decades, and it shows. There is a quiet confidence, personal warmth, and a sense of ownership in the service that cannot be trained overnight. You are not treated as a transaction, but as a returning guest, even if it’s your first visit.
The food and beverage ecosystem within the campus is exceptional. Having Café Orleans, Imperial Lancers, Palladio, and Shikaar Bagh all within walking distance is a masterstroke. Each outlet offers a distinct mood and cuisine, yet they are seamlessly accessible, making every meal feel like a curated choice rather than a logistical decision.
Adding to the charm is the central courtyard, home to a small selection of tasteful boutiques. The curation is restrained, elegant, and perfectly in sync with the hotel’s character, making wandering through them feel like an extension of the stay rather than a commercial add-on.
All said, Narain Niwas Palace gets the details right. It is authentic without being dated, comfortable without being generic, and warm without being performative. Highly recommended as a refined weekend retreat in Jaipur.
As soon as we opened our room (Deluxe, 22), there was a musty smell, which eventually cleared when the fan was switched on for 10 minutes at high speed. But it shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Narain Niwas Palace is an absolutely beautiful property that feels like a genuine oasis in the middle of Jaipur. The decor throughout is amazing, and I loved the spacious, clean rooms.
The dining was a highlight for me; breakfast was really good, and I was impressed that they even provided freshly baked gluten-free bread. Dinner was also nice with plenty of à la carte options, though I'd skip the buffet next time as it felt overpriced at 2,500 INR for what was on offer.
Overall, it’s a really nice place and was a great experience.
We booked a standard double with a king bed but were initially given a room with two singles. Even after they moved us, the new room still didn't have a king bed.
There were also several maintenance issues that I didn't expect from a high-end property, like a clogged shower drain, toilet problems, and a missing toilet roll holder.
Service was a bit hit-or-miss as well; for the price, it should be superb, but waiting 20 minutes for water is a bit much. It was also awkward when a staff member stood over me while I was filling out a feedback form (in the two days I was there, I was asked to fill out 3 forms).
Finally, while the food was great, the music in the outdoor restaurant was so loud we could barely have a conversation.

Fabulous setting, great staff and food quality. And the rooms were really spacious and luxurious. Would love to come here in the early summer to use the outdoor pool.
It was quite cold at night, and even with the extra duvets and oil heaters it felt too cold in the rooms.

This is a different experience from the norm. The gardens, the swimming pool, the peacocks, the cafe and restaurants in garden settings. It is an oasis. The staff were welcoming, always on hand and helpful. The room was expansive with lovey high ceilings and decor. It is a Palace after all. The coffee at the Cafe is the best I encountered in all of the Indian places I visited, and there were many.
Nothing really. The wine by the glass prices were more Australian prices but that’s to be expected. The wines were not great but acceptable.

Fab place to stay
I o he ted to the 4 fire pits in the restaurants as the smoke hovered over the hotel and added to the general pollution in the city. I suppose. The manager took this on board so hopefully will reduce the number of wood burning fires.

The decor, the staff, the cleanliness, the peaceful location.
Thought the food and drink was a little on the expensive side plus taxes on top of that of course.

The facilities were very good. Breakfast on the balcony was a treat. The staff were fantastic. Always helpful and professional. The cafe was great. A superb coffee. The grounds were vast with peacocks strolling around.
My room wasn’t made up or cleaned after the first of my two nights. Not sure if I had to put a sign in the door to this effect. Not a big deal just the norm at the hotels I’ve visited. The restaurants not showing GST inclusive amounts on the menu meant you got a surprise when the bill came.

The palace is nice, gives you an idea of what it was and the rooms are nicely decorated
It lacks a feeling of warmth, very cold and little maintenance. Our room had cracks in the ceiling and mould on the wall. We also had to keep calling housekeeping to mend the toilet flush as it for stuck every time it was used. They said there was yoga every morning apart from monday and Tuesday and when went on Thursday, it wasn't available. Another issue was that I informed the hotel about our arrival time as per their request as soon as I had the information, the next day at around 2pm, I got their reply saying they look forward for my arrival...when I had already slept a night there. They want to be a special hotel as the location is special but they are far from reaching that level.

Location and friendly staff and beautiful setting. Close to bar Palladio which is stunning to check out.
No tv socket so couldn’t switch on tv.
No iron in room.
Spa staff not available two days in row, I booked 2 massages outside at a Ayurvedic place which was wonderful but hotel spa was not functional or open.
Breakfast eggs were good and coffee was good but otherwise limited options for fresh fruits and fresh juices and alternative dishes to try. They did have some good local dishes but it was limited.
Bathroom/showers are old and dated and could be modernised although had good running hot water with reasonably good power, just old bath / shower set up.
Room was not cleaned 2 days in a row despite requesting reception to clean it whilst I was out for the day.

I loved the morning yoga class and the spa was exceptional!
Please hire more women! You would benefit (and so would your customers) from having women in management positions, in reception, and also in the restaurant.

The breakfast staff were very helpful
We were in rooms 31/32 and they faced the front of the hotel and very noisy from people passing and road noise. Bathroom shocking state - not enough water for a bath. Old towels and old facilities.
Room - no water on arrival. Stale snacks. One fan not working.
Reception staff not veery welcoming unlike every other hotel we stayed in.
This hotel is not worth the money - we stayed in much better places in Jaipur for half the money. Sad - because we were treating ourselves for our last night

Beautiful heritage property. Great culture of Rajasthan to be seen!
Slightly firm beds. Also I tried to call the massage salon multiple times but no one picked up even though I was calling during their opening hours and over different hours incase they were busy

The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was very good, and the dinner in the outside restaurant was exceptional with very good cuisine.
Our room (# 35) was one of the largest available. While the room has a great atmosphere, there are two reasons why we would not book this room again: 1. It is located next to the very loud fan of the kitchen, which operates from 05:30 in the morning until about 22:00. During this time, the noise is very annoying in the room. Secondly, for whatever reason, there was no warm water in the shower in the morning.

The Narain Niwas is a tastefully restored, impressive building and gardens in Jaipur. It has a lovely pool set within the immaculately kept grounds, complete with peacocks. It also boasts both a smart cafe and cocktail bar on site. It is an oasis of tranquility within the city, within a quick Uber ride of the sights. The staff were excellent and meals delicious.

The property itself is stunning and a spacious, well-maintained garden that adds to the serene atmosphere.
There are a few restaurants on the premises offering a nice variety of cuisine, and a few boutiques with unique items. The breakfast was excellent.
Additional amenities like laundry services and a relaxing spa made our stay even more comfortable and convenient. Overall, a perfect blend of luxury, history, and hospitality.

Such friendly staff, from the check-in team, to room service staff and those who worked at breakfast. Everyone was really helpful about making the most out of being in Jaipur and couldn’t do enough to help us and feel comfortable and welcome. The location felt like a retreat within a city and was very relaxing.
Only place we’ve stayed in India so far that didn’t have UK 3-pronged plugs - staff were able to provide a converter for a USB.
