Extremely disappointing and feel we have overpaid.

Nothing much to like...location ok.

The property was filthy everywhere...windows hadn't been cleaned in years..we cleaned the bath ourselves!...lots of cracked tiles,.lamps not working...very unhygienic and smelt unclean and uncared for. Major improvements needed..the whole place was shabby. Would not go back.

Location of property was ideal. Property was a good size.

Property wasn't very clean. Strong smell of stale cigarette smoke in living area and kitchen. Mattress very hard. Shower water pressure was poor. Internet connection had issues and was frequently out. Property is in need of a good clean and some TLC!

False advertising

Handy location for nearby wedding venue. Bed sheet were fresh.

House smells of stale smoke and was not entirely clean. Towels were in dryer on arrival. No welcome pack as described. Eg no milk, bread etc. Kitchen hob stained, not cleaned appropriately. Dead flies in light fixtures above dining area. Broken light in top floor bathroom, difficult to navigate during night. (Had to use phone torch) Staining everywhere, a lot on ceilings and walls and broken tiles in kitchen area. I am curious as to why this is called Luxurious KC House… nothing luxury about it! Felt unable to use facilities comfortably, overdue a make over and deep clean.

The property was great very clean and comfortable. the bed was also very comfortable. The house was lovely and warm if they could sort out the WiFi I would not hesitate staying there again.

We had no WiFi which was very disappointing as we wanted to talk to family and friends over Xmas and could not. This was a disaster.

Visiting relatives

Good location. Clean inside the property. Problem with toaster blew electric fuse, owner replaced immediately. Bedrooms were very nice and looked to have been recently updated. I would stay here again.

The furniture in the living room was not of a good standard their were ripped seat covers on the chairs and settee. I would like to think these were due to be replaced. Kitchen cupboard doors not matching and the covering peeling off on one. Cracked floor tiles, cracked walls general wear and tear. This is not quite luxurious standard or quality. I would have rated as 3star it gets 4 stars due to washing machine, dishwasher, lighting. Bin area outside there is a table and chairs but its not the best.

Not one to leave reviews but the host really does go above & beyond like the other reviews say. The house is lovely and clean, very spacious with everything you need in it. Shops, restaurants etc are all within walking distance. Would defiantly recommend :)

Disappointing, stay would have been much improved if host had been accessible to problem solve.

Location was excellent in regards to access to town, 5 mins walk. House was clean and spacious. Fully equipped kitchen.

The TV didn't work and when we contacted Chris he said he was busy and would send someone to fix it, he didn't. Whilst we weren't there to watch TV the Euros had started and it would have been nice to have been able to catch the odd match, or relax with a show in the evening. When we plugged in the toaster it tripped the electric, turning it off not only in the house but also in the phone shop which we weren't aware was located in the downstairs front living room (which was very noisy with people talking loudly all day long). The electric going off also set off the house alarm. The shop owner banged loudly on the door and was not happy as he said it had happened several times the day before when the cleaner was in. Fortunately for us the shop owner knew how to reset the electric as it had happened before. He also told us to contact Chris to advise him the house alarm now needed reset. Again Chris was too busy to take care of this. The sofas, cushions and rugs had been cleaned the day before but were still soaking wet and we had to put a duvet down on the sofa in order to be able to sit on it. The car parking was not very secure and there were kids playing football next to our car a lot of the time.

Bad

They owners left me nice flowers.

We were transferred to the Boyle Suite two days before we travelled - I assume this was because a party was happening at the same time as we were there. Unfortunately this was a very depressing move. The toilet in our new room was blocked, it didn't flush properly and there was a cigarette floating in it.. the ceilings were so low that my husband and I both hit our heads (I am only 5ft!).. the walls are so thin that we could hear people talking next to us.. the radiators didn't heat up fully because they needed bleeding.. the TV remote didn't work either. My husband and I called about this issue and someone told us they would help, nobody arrived. The worst thing though was the Dirt (the linen on the bed was clean but that was it). I had to use cleaning materials and give the place a good clean upon my arrival - very worrying during the current Covid climate. I have since been informed by my daughter-in-law that if we had complained upon arrival, I could have asked for a refund, but my husband and I are very old and we don't understand these modern methods. I am even dictating this review to my daughter-in-law as she writes.

Great nights sleep but needs TLC to bring to Luxurious expectations as advertised

Beds were comfortable. Did our job. Required accommodation for 3 Provided hand soap in both bathrooms as well as tea, coffee, mini cereals and crisps

No shampoo or shower gel (expected as toiletries were provided) Too many cobwebs in bedrooms, ceilings and light fittings Broken light fitting and very stained furniture in the living room
