Wonderful

Simply beautiful, calm, quiet, and relaxed. It's close enough to Helmsley, a picturesque village, just a couple of minutes away, but far enough to avoid the many visitors drawn there. For me, it was the proximity to the NCBP as I was attending the raptor fair, which, by the way, was incredible. The Shepherds hut was wonderful, just right for a solo traveller like myself or a couple. It is clean, well looked after, and the host is fantastic. If you are a nature lover, this is the place for you, I spotted red kites, buzzards, rabbits, deer, owls, and many other small birds and lots of butterflies. There is an area outside where you can bbq or just relax and if there is a chill in the air there is a nice chimney style burner out there

Was a little tricky on the stone with a motorbike due to the slope, but I managed.

Wonderful relaxing break!

This is the perfect little shepherds and has everything you need for a few days away and a break from it all. The view from the hut is beautiful and the outside space is also just lovely. I really enjoy spending time in Yorkshire and this area is great with so many things to do and endless places to visit. This was my second visit and I will definitely be back! The hosts are super nice and just make the whole experience a pleasure.

Amazing find, will return!

Loved everything about this place, as did my 6 year old. Such a peaceful location and really close to the village of Helmsley where there were nice shops and restaurants. Had everything we needed and more, along with some nice welcome touches including tea, coffee, hot cross buns and chocolates! Easy to find and access and great communication from the hosts too. Warm, safe, secure and peaceful, will 100% be returning.

Very relaxing and very comfortable accommodation with everything you need to unwind.

This was an amazing place to spend a few days away from it all. Bellwether is a beautiful shepherds hut in a lovely location with unbelievable views and surrounded by wildlife. It is also super cute inside and everything has been done to such a high standard and it's just so comfortable. I was there on my own so the space was perfect for me and I had such a nice time. It's also very accessible and there is so much to explore in the area. I can't wait to go back!

Romantic, cosy, tranquil retreat.

Cosy and functional, everything you need. Loved the log burner, chimnea outside with BBQ to use. There was also some lovely goats as neighbours ☺️ we will definitely return ❤️

Cosy, Cute, and Gorgeous Scenery

The welcome pack was a nice touch with crisps, marshmallows to toast, tea and coffee, milk and juice. Amazing views over fields and hills, and watching hares a few metres away. The resident sheep and its goat friends behind the hut. Very friendly and helpful owners. The hut had everything we needed and was toasty warm. The wood burner was easy to light, there was underfloor heating, and in case that wasn't enough, the owner had thoughtfully supplied a heated throw and a hot water bottle! We absolutely loved it!

Nothing really, it was awesome, but if I was picky, we missed the turn in the first time as the signage wasn't particularly visible, but it was easy to turn round and go back.

Everything, the hut is well kitted out and ready for everyone. Everything is clean & Fiona was lovely. The view, area and village were all perfect. We'll definitely be back!

Great place to stay

Fiona couldn't have been more welcoming, location was great with lovely views and links to the North York Moors We went in a cold and wet November but the place was really cosy and homely

Well what can I say if your looking to get away from it all and have a proper couple of days relaxing then bellwether is the place its set facing rolling hills and your company for your stay is the wild life ,its spotless and comfortable with all the amenities you expect if like me you like to explore then you can do that aswell

This place is absolutely charming. Tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. All the items in the place have been carefully selected and are so pleasing. I thoroughly recommend it for a couple to enjoy the North Yorkshire countryside.

Absolutely fantastic, great location the Shepherd hut was superb. Highly recommended. Fiona was very friendly and helpful. The hosts left us food and snacks in the hut and fridge. If you want a peaceful and lovely experience book this hut.
