Overall my expectations were exceeded. Full credit to the front desk management, in particular Yoko.

Heated private pool; very high quality meals for Breakfast and Dinner; speed and professional service related attentiveness and delivery; Front desk manager is named Yoko. A young Indonesian guy who will make sure all your requests are fully satisfied. He goes over and above his ordinary duties to bring satisfaction to his guests.

The only safe and convenient way to get from the street to the Villas is by buggy. So must always be dependent on this service, which the management provides free of charge and 24/7. It is about a 3-4 minute ride from the street to the villas on a very narrow pathway shred by other resort buggies and local motorbikes.

Conundrum

We were a group of three, booking two one brm villas. The staff were brilliant. Always happy & very informative, & always ready to help us to travel back & forth on the golf buggy. The location is a plus, & a minus. You are far from the madding crowd, if that`s what you want, but probably a little too far for our liking. The villa itself is great. Comfortable bed, good a/c, lovely bathroom. But, be aware, it takes a Long time for the hot water to come through. Extremely hot when it does though. The pool is heated, almost a little too hot, but lovely all the same. The breakfast was great, with a big selection, & served at your room. There is a restaurant next door, & another a short walk away, & they're both very nice. The guided walk was really good. If you're up to it, it is quite taxing, give it a go.

The location, for me, was a little too far out for us. My mistake, as I should've checked the map better. You are unable to drive to the villa, as the access road is too narrow. The staff will ferry you back & forth as needed though, & it's only about a 350m walk. You can get a scooter along there too, if you're riding. Would I stay there again ? Probably not as the location was not to my liking. Did I regret my stay ? Absolutely not, we had a very enjoyable time. Also Note, the traffic near the palace is hellish at the moment. Renovations to the new markets mean a 20min trip can be 40min at the wrong time of day.

Absolutely Stunning

Oh wow we had the best time at Villa Santun! The villa is stunning and soo clean. The staff were amazing paying great attention to detail if you mentioned anything like going out for the day of leaving early in the morning they listened and either had a wee breakfast box waiting for you for your early trip away or planned your clean later in the day of you were in the villa most of the morning. There’s a free shuttle bus that takes you into UBUD centre. Food was delicious We booked a massage in our patio area which was amazing. Just perfect for a couples retreat.

Great villa, amazing staff, beautiful stay in Ubud

Location was great, not too far from ubud (which was easily reachable by their free shuttle or by taxi). As the hotel is along a rice field, and not on the main road (which we found great) the hotel staff has a little golf cart that they use to pick you up and drop you off. Staff were very kind and always happy to help. Our villa was cleaned daily Breakfast is very generous and can be different daily (you choose the night before) The food you can order to your room was great, and cheap. We also had massages in the villa which was great. The heated pool is a real plus as you can swim from morning to night. Overall we had an amazing stay, and enjoyed the location of the villa.

Just one thing is that the villa is not well insulated from the noise (dogs, and noise from the hotel kitchen).

Very recommended hotel.

The staff were very good at everything. The villa compared to the price is nothing, the villa was looking directly into the jungle. The pool had heater which was really amazing.

Location is the only disadvantage about the hotel as taxi needs to drop you on street or parking area then hotel will send gulf car to pick you up. The distance from street to hotel is short, around 2-3mins by the gulf car.

Good place , very nice villa with pool

The villa was as shown in the pictures. It featured a private heated pool and although the water was not as heated as I wished, my son enjoyed a lot.the staff was friendly and helpful

Everything amazing property . In the middle of greenery and rice fields and yet very connected . The Staff GEDE and YOKO were wonderful hosts . They even organised a surprise cake for our parents 50th anniversary. Very nice staff and they always organised a buggy to drop us even in the middle of night

Wonderful Stay – Felt Like Home!

The hotel was absolutely amazing – super beautiful and carefully designed. The service was also incredible. The staff always made sure we had everything we needed. They even asked about our plans for the next day in case we needed any help or recommendations. The hospitality of everyone who works here truly made us feel at home. It was such a warm and welcoming experience. 100% recommended – if we ever come back to Bali, we would definitely stay here again!☺️

Fantastic place to stay

We enjoyed a great few days at Villa Santun. The location is perfect, very close to the centre of Ubud, it only took ~10 mins by taxi. The staff are super friendly and helpful and did their best to make our stay pleasant. We had to wake them up to drop us at the pick up point in the middle of the night as we had a tour booked and they even did that with a smile. The facilities and breakfast were also great. Would recommend to anyone who is going to Ubud.

The room, the pool, the staff and location were everything we had hoped for. From the time we arrived until we left we always felt looked after - arranging pickups, scooter hire, drivers - all requests were responded to promptly and with professionalism. All the staff are very friendly and it’s a genuine delight to be in their care. The in-house food was very good and also very reasonably priced. The accommodation was excellent and better than we expected. The private heated pool was fabulous. The location was great being close to the rice fields and its associated walkways and irrigation canals. It is off the main roads, and very quiet. Several close-by and walkable options for very good food to give good alternatives/variation to the house menu & for a change of view. We would definitely highly recommend Santun Villas.

A beautiful stay made unforgettable by amazing staff, peaceful surroundings, and thoughtful touches you don’t find every

From start to finish, I enjoyed every bit of my stay. The staff were a standout — not just the facilities. They were prompt, polite, and communicated really well, both in person and via WhatsApp. Breakfast was delicious with freshly squeezed juices and quality food. The villa is just 5 minutes from Ubud center, so it’s super convenient. One thing that truly stood out — and I haven’t seen elsewhere — was the 20L Aqua safe drinking water provided in the villa, which is a big plus considering water concerns in Bali. Overall, I loved Bali not just for the landscapes, but for the genuine respect and politeness of the people, and Villa Santun reflected that beautifully

Honestly, I just wish I had booked for longer! I only stayed 2 nights and ended up spending most of my time exploring Ubud, so didn’t get to enjoy the villa as much. Tip: Book at least 3 nights or more to really soak it in. Everything is close by, and if any issue comes up, the Villa Santun team handles it with care. Also — don’t miss the tea made by the team at the villa. It’s the best!

Beautiful Royal Villa

We were met with a golf cart that took us down the lane to our villa. The place was HUGE! We had the 3 bedroom villa which consisted of 3 hotel sized separate rooms with King beds and their own beautiful bathroom. The pool and grounds were so big that we kept expecting other people to be using them but it was just for us! Was great for our family but might not suit smaller children. They have a kitchen on site - no restaurant and we ate breakfast and 1 dinner and lunch in the time we were there which was very handy. The food was pretty reasonable and quite tasty. They come and set the table for you and then clean up after you, we felt like royalty, maybe even a little too formal for us. The staff were quick to reply to anything asked via whatsapp. Location is prob a 6 minute drive to town.

The location was a little tricky o find as the carpark is separate to the villas. The tiles in the main living area get very slippery with rain. I slipped on them but the staff were very quick to put some towels down.

Property is away from the busy town centre, but we enjoyed the “countryside” very much.

Check in and out was smooth. Though the property is not accessible by car, the villa provided buggy service to a carpark where there is a bus to take us to Ubud centre. Very well coordinated.

Villa itself is very cosy. Unfortunately, the unit that we were, the mattress was uncomfortable. Pillows were rather flat too.

I had an amazing stay at Santun. I cannot recommend it enough. The place is beautiful and a 10 min drive to Ubud centre. The decor, pool and everything was gorgeous and fitting for the amazing village of Ubud. The staff were all so friendly and made me feel very taken care of! They always went above and beyond which I appreciate it. Can't wait to come back and recommend to all seeking relaxation and great service.

the outside shower and the personal pool. very friendly and helpful staff

no restaurant or communal pool for guests, felt lonely. the food was ok, and it was $15 for a floating breakfast - although the breakfast was paid for it was just for the tray for 45 mins, and not decorated just a plate and tea and a small drink so it looked empty. the bed was hard and down the back of the tv and side tables it wasn’t clean.
