Cozy Rustic Bungalow with Lovely Ocean View

This family-run hotel is rustic and nestled on the mountain overlooking Zipolite beach. It's removed enough to get a quiet relaxing beach feel, but close enough to enjoy the nightlife and restaurants a 10min walk away.

Good value, nice people and place, annoying dogs made it much less peaceful

View, trees and flowers, room decoration, verandahs, comfortable bed with mosquito net. Staff. Hammocks, proximity to beach. Away from main road. Car parking. Service staff. Fridge.

Superb

Great view of the ocean. Huge bed. Quiet at night, and the sound of the waves make it easier to fall asleep. Nice breeze throughout the day. Pool was bigger than expected. Staff were kind and happy.

Wifi sometimes didn't work, but we were told it was a Zipolite-wide outage. Check-in was 20 minutes behind schedule. We arrived at 1:45pm. Check-in was 2pm. Room was ready at 2:20pm. But we didn't mind the wait.

A good location for peace and quiet with access to the middle part of the 1.5km long beach.

Great view from our particular room (#12) with a breeze. Room uses all traditional building materials. Quiet at night which is a bonus...no dogs or roosters.....decent communal kitchen and our suite had its own mini fridge, coffee makers, and water bottle.

Staff not very friendly or welcoming but OK. the so called pool was smelly, no plants, very little effort to make it inviting.

Quiet, great location to the beach and town. The shower was not hot but a very comfortable temperature. Large room to spread out. Own kitchen for personal use. We only made use of the fridge. Lovely terrace with hammock, two chairs, table with four chairs. Mosquito net and screens. We spent most of the time beaching, did not use other available facilities.

The only criticism is the use of ultra bright light bulbs, they do not need to be so powerful, creates more heat in a very hot climate.

The hotel was a great value and staff were friendly and helpful! we are a good breakfast there and felt very secure.

We had a 2 Br Suite room with a private bathroom, a small refrigerator, a room safe. and a porch with 2 hammocks.

It is up a steep hill and part of the road isn’t paved, so it isn’t easy to get to when walking with luggage. We opted to use a taxi to check in and check out. Daily walks to the beach and back without luggage were pretty easy.

Not recommended from our persoective

- We had a suite. The upper room is actually a roof room, very sticky and too warm in absence of air conditioned. - Hard way to carry the baggage to the room, very steep especially when nobody help you - No breakfast included

Best quality/price in Zipolite! (we tried other spot because it was fully book) The hotel has a good vibe with friendly staff, it’s very clean and comfortable. there is lot of space in the rooms and all windows/doors have mosquitos screen. You can order breakfast or use the communal kitchen. Free drinking water, good wifi, hammocks, a small pool…

For older people is not an option because the cabins/rooms are on a hill. A couple of dogs from other guests were noisy and a bit agressive.

beautifully designed villas and great views

I woke up with bug bites every day. the wifi was also absolutely terrible — I had to top up my data plan. I was told that this is the case everywhere in Zipolite, but I spent a day at another hotel with a friend and their wifi was reliable and lightning fast.

We had a private bungalow with view and even more sound of the ocean. The bungalow had a small kitchen and fridge and in the second storey there's the bed. Outside there's a nice small patio with seats, table and a hammock provides nice and cool shade. At night you have a nice breeze so there's no Aircon necessary. There is a shared pool to be used and even a gym. Never used it because we always went to the ocean. The staff is really nice and helpful with everything. They clean and make up the bed every day. We had a great week there and can really recommend a visit.

Nice Vista from Room!

A very nice place. Lucia and Zaira are super helpful to us and attended our needs. We stayed in their best room and it did not disappoint. Our fridge was broken when we came but they were apologetic and gave us complementary breakfast - just a nice gesture. Overall, it's a very awesome stay!

the location is good, far from the noise but still at close walking distance to the beach and centre

the bed was really uncomfortable, the mattress was bumpy and old. the water in the shower run very poorly and the sink in the shower was full of hair. the hammocks in the terrace were uncomfortable too.

The Villa really is hidden. Its quiet, the staff are lovely. We extended our stay because we liked it so much. Very very good value for money. La Villa es bien escondido. Es bien tranquilo y las personas son amable. Todo era perfecto. Very happy with the stay.

Beautiful grounds, amazing staff who respond very quickly to inquiries and great value.

Not right on the beach but still an easy walk. Quite a steep but short hill to walk up and down. No A/C. Ants are a problem so do not eat in your room.
